So I just had my PR interview. It went all pretty well. I got my CoPR now, and was told I'll receive my PR card in a few weeks.

The only thing is, after it was finished, I found one of the two photos was returned to me. The officer stamped the other one (the one with my name & DOB and photographer info) on his copy of the form.

Is this normal, or any chance the officer gave me back one photo by mistake?

Cheers

I see. Thanks a lot for the information!
No problem! Maybe it is specifically for sponsorship applications as this office was really busy apparently.

May I ask how long you waited from applying for the interview until they contacted you? I have waited 2.5 months and getting increasingly worried about e.g. missed communication. Thank you!

We also had one given back to us, and the officer told us he was only going to take one while he did it, so you're all good!

We also landed yesterday.

I have now waited 3 months to be called in for a landing interview in Vancouver. I was supposed to hear from them within 90 days but I did not. This is very concerning. I tried contacting them on the same email address that I requested the interview on but they say some topics won’t get a response. Is it better to use the web form on the CIC website for followups on the landing interview?

Yes, I checked my spam mail every day. Still, I can’t help but be afraid that I somehow missed an email regardless of being thorough. Was it in Vancouver, you got your appointment?

Yes vancouver
Thanks for your reply. That is really strange. One other person on this thread had waited 2 months and then was told by CIC that the Vancouver waiting time is 3 months. I am happy for you, that you got it so fast but it also makes me a bit concerned when I waited that long and heard nothing.

Please let me know when you hear from them. I really hope we'll get them soon...
Did you hear anything yet? I have waited three months now and heard nothing. Another person here just told me they got the appointment in Vancouver after only three days this October.

I haven’t got anything yet... really annoying. I think you should call CIC. The operator told me I should call them back if I wouldn't get any emails when 3 months pass.
Are you trying to reschedule the interview or have you changed your status before? My situation is a bit complicated. I had to change living country after DM, cancel the landing interview in February and come back to Canada in June etc.. I think people who haven’t changed anything are getting their interview dates in a short time. Anyways, I can’t do anything other than just waiting and calling CIC. I hope they’ll reach you soon!

Thank you for your reply. Will try to reach them on the phone. I wrote to them via email and the online form already and await reply. Unfortunately, since they mentioned from the start it would take up to 90 days, my alarm bells did not go off for real before that time had passed. I just pray I did not somehow miss an appointment email. I hope they reach you soon as well!

I took your advice and called them rather than wait for email reply. Thankfully I had not missed any appointments and they will try to speed it up since I waited for three months. Thank you for your advice; now I can sleep again!
