As his flight on October 30 so there is no time to wait for VO to correct the typo . I think on landing he can show the officer the error and show his name in passport and the officer will be able to correct it. Typo happened lot on COPR , you can find threads talking about this

I am wondering about the transit airport if they will notice it and don’t allow him to fly.

I have kids 19, 16 and 20

Can you help me in regarding what’s documentation they need
Should I need to send original PCC or copies ?
I have already submitted they police clearance one year before.

In the beginning just send the documents which mentioned in the letter. After London office receiving these documents, the process will start and they'll send you email requesting another documents (usually PCC one of them) .All requested documents should be scan copy of original on english or french.

to the best of my knowledge, IRCC requires original police clearance

My VO dakar ask everything(photos,forms,mariage certificate,original PCC,proof of funds....) once.

And I send by courrier with the original PCC
