You should have followed the checklist for proof requirements. Max 20 photos.

Note that sponsor approval is very basic. IRCC simply makes sure the sponsor is not on welfare, not bankrupt, not in default of a previous undertaking/immigration loan, has no disqualifying criminal record, not in prison etc. It has nothing to do with the actual review of the applicant and the relationship, which will happen after the file is transferred to the visa office in Morocco.

From the little information you provided, it appears there are red flags. Your husband will almost certainly be called to an interview. What is the relationship history? How did you meet? How long have you spent in person? How many visits before marrying? What are your ages? Do you have the same religion, culture etc.? Do you speak the same language?

Congratulations on your marriage and sending in the application. The hard part is the wait! We had successful sponsorship in 2013/14, so a while back now. My husband is Moroccan as well, and we had an age difference, I’m 5 years older. Back in 2013/14 applications in Rabat were being processed fairly efficiently, average was 9 months. Our application was approved in 5 months. From what I have seen lately quick approvals are uncommon, most apps do the full 12 months or longer unfortunately.

... and yes as canuk_in_uk mentioned, it is certain your husband will have an in person interview. In Morocco all applicants in mixed marriages are called for interview. My husband had one too, luckily it was quick 20 min of chit chatting lol and the visa officer congratulated us on our marriage and approved his visa.

Red flags really ? I think being together for 3 yrs is pretty solid. I went there the first time to visit (travel together etc) ... the second time i went i was there for a month (with fam/friends etc too) and we had our beautiful wedding ceremony. Our tattoos show that we are forever too. I understand about the photos there were just too many to choose from lol
Fingers crossed inshallah everythg will be ok :)
Thank you for ur feedback. Hugs

A significant age gap can be enough of a red flag to cause additional scrutinty on your application. If you have other signficant gaps / differences such as language, religion, education and/or economics, they can create further concerns about the application. If the age gap is significant and if you have other differences / gaps, hopefully you addressed these effectively in the application. Good luck - hope it all goes smoothly.

There is a whole industry of tattoo removal or cover ups for things like tattoos with exes names on it. Tattoo is definitely not a guarantee of a relationship:) Would be much more careful to only include what is asked of you. No need to make your VO mad because they have extra work.

If i remember correctly, thankfully there is no age requirement for this appl. (Meaning it doesnt state anywhere that age between spouses is an issue) I have heard many cases that were approved and some had major gap like 30-40 yrs.
We shall see
Inshallah our future has big plans

There is no age requirement - however this by no means results in age gaps being ignored. Quite the opposite. Applications where there is a significant age gap (especially where the woman is younger than the man), get a lot more scrutinty from IRCC. If you have a significant age gap with you being the older one, anticipate an interview for your husband. These interviews can be quite tough with IRCC wanting to ensure your husband has entered into this relationship for genuine reasons and not primarily as a means for getting to Canada. If you share the same religion, language, culture and/or come from similar education / employment / economic situations - this will help your application.

Note that we are not trying to be negative - just realistic about what you can expect from the process so that you can be as prepared as possible.

While your application may be completely genuine, many are not. There are reports of some people planning for years to come come to Canada fraudulently. Tattoos? Hardly convincing... Three years? Some set up fake relationships of 10 years, just to get to Canada... IRCC has seen it all.

Yes. His nationality and the age difference are red flags. Morocco is a known source country for Marriages of Convenience, particularly for young Moroccan men and older foreign women. Getting married on a second visit is also a red flag. It is recommended to have several visits before marrying.

As for the 3 years, as mentioned above, that doesn't mean much. We have seen such long-term relationships end up being MOCs many times. Their families are often in on it as well. It speaks to the level of desperation of the applicants trying to leave their country. And same for the tattoo.

I'm simply being honest with you, as this is what the visa officer reviewing your file is going to see. If you answer my other questions, we can give you a better idea of all issues the VO will likely have.

To be honest .. we didnt even think of our tattoos as being part of the application since we only did it because we both adore the infinity symbol and wanted to do smthg special & unique for our 2 yrs anniversary. It was someone suggested to us to include our cute lil experience (i took pics of him getting it done - first tat) .... also his mum has zero interest in coming here since she already knows she cldnt handle the weather. She straight up said to me “i cld never leave my home”.

Anyways .... i know each appl is individual and we just hope and pray everyday things work out well. Our nightly 3 hour face time calls are getting harder and harder. We cry everyday :(
