Hey guys,
I passed my citizenship test 4 weeks ago. Waiting for my ceremony invite.

very worried now as my PR card, driving licence and health card all went along with my bank cards and wallet on Friday

The only ID I have now is my passport.
Will someone help with the quickest way to get a new PR card as I don’t think they will let me attend my citizenship ceremony without it.

thanks in advance

You can renew or replace your lost PR card with 24 days: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace.html

The average processing time is 24 days, from when they receive it.

You can try to urgent request processing... Though none of the options listed relate to you ... https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/urgent.html

To be honest, unless you have plans to leave Canada soon, I'd just call them up and tell them it got stolen given all they want it for is to take it off you. Plus you're meant to report it stolen as soon as it is I believe.

The oath could be in just a few weeks (could be in the mail), but it could also be a few months.

Thanks for the response.
I made a police report Saturday and have a copy.
This is true. It could still be a few months or a few weeks, who knows, right.
Don’t think I can leave Canada until I have a new one also.

A police report is good, but you still want to notify IRCC.

Either way, you have to tell us what happened so we can prevent your card from being used by someone else.

As to the time, they list 24 days and yet someone I know was told 6 weeks (despite already having the application) a few days ago.

You can leave Canada without it. You can't easily get back via commercial travel without it, ie: you can't take a commercial flight/boat etc... back into Canada. The normal way to get back to Canada without is driving to the US border and walking over (or having a friend drive you over), once you are at the border they have to give you entry by law, but it may take some time if they can't validate your status easily.

Having things like a Canadian driving license and your CoPR would help speed things up. You could also fly privately - the issue is that no-one will (should) let you only a plane/boat next stop Canada without seeing your PR card or a valid eTA or visa. I mean technically if you are from a visa required country you could give an airline your passport and Canadian visa and they would probably let you on the plane. But as a PR that won't be a valid visa (as you no longer need one) so it's risky (and possibly illegal). The days of no eTA meaning many people just turned up and flew without saying they were a PR are over.

And yes, before someone posts it you can also get a PRTD but this is generally a very difficult time consuming process (2-4 weeks) that many people, including my lawyer advised me not to even try and do. Easier to fly to US (with any required ESTA/visa) and then cross into Canada by land.

I read about one person who got a PRTD within a day, but they had a huge amount of paperwork (basically all their PR application paperwork and CoPR and all travel details etc...) available and it was still not guaranteed.

Thanks for the response.
I have just been to ICBC and have replacement driving license and health card on the way.
Like mention I believe at the ceremony they just want to revoke the PR card.
I was thinking about just taking my landing card, a copy of the police report and also Cit 0459E.
I’ll try check with CIC
As I don’t want friends to come and then not be able to get sworn in.
What you think?
Cheers

I searched for Cit 0459E and seems to be something that's up to the officer as to whether or not that's enough. So I'd recommend calling IRCC (especially as you're meant to notify them so really should do!) and talking to them about it. I'd call them every 30 mins every day until you get through, and if you work in a job where that's hard (I've had ones where it was hard) just have a chat with your boss and hopefully they are reasonable!

Remember you can only have one guaranteed 'guest'. Any others may have to wait outside, depending upon how many you bring and how many others bring. I'd definitely try and only invite a max of 2-3 to be fair to others.

Morning. In the past I’ve been on the phone for hrs. So, I’m about to fill in an online webform for IRCC and explain what happened and that I already have a police report. Says that they will respond in 2-5 days.
See how I go with that.
It’s only going to be 2 people.

Try calling them first thing in the morning. That's usually when you will get thru!

I’m going to try calling first thing now. I knew this would happen.
I received the invite this morning, for the 5th of November. So have very limited time to even get a card. I’d be, I’ll just turn up with what I have and chance it
