Is it "We are processing your background check" or "Background Check is in progress"?
ECAS says:

  1. We received xxxxxx's application for permanent residence on May 6, 2019.
  2. We sent xxxxx medical instructions on July 19, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  3. Medical results have been received.
  4. We sent xxxxxx correspondence on October 15, 2019. If xxxxx has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have xxxxx do so as soon as possible. Please wait until xxxx receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
MyCIC has:

Background checkHelp - Background check
  • We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Hi - need your advice please!

My dad is over 70 and his X-ray shows that there are two calcified spots on his lung, which he had for years. the report we received recommend "CT required". have you heard about similar cases before and what could be the outcomes. i am seriously worrying about their application now.

also, they are leaving Canada in about two weeks. if we receive CT request next week, can he do it in home country, even the initial medical exam was taken in Canada?

please share your thoughts. Thanks a lot.

Thank you. We have the same scenario, my mom had her medical on April 2019 for visitor record.
When we received the IME request, we submitted the EMedical Info via webform (twice - one week apart) and then, I again attached it with the PCC requests, etc through email.

Unfortunately, it has not been reflected on her file yet. The thing is, it was her due date yesterday (for the new medical request). We checked my mom's account today, and it says "we did not receive your medical results", so I called the call center and inquired about it. The agent said that they received the Medical Report that we sent, it's just that may be the officer has not gone through it yet that's why it's not yet uploaded to her account. She suggested to wait or send another webform inquiry to submit the Medical Report.

Honestly, I don't know what the next step is, but to wait and hope that there will be movement on my mom's file next week.
Hi, so sorry to hear that. It's great they at least acknowledged receipt. Maybe it's just the Accra one that is different speedwise

According to me, they just want to rule out active TB Whenever there is something on the chest x-rays.
Haven’t they already send the request for CT to panel physician?
Few weeks ago I checked with IRCC on twitter and they said that you can do any furtherance tests at a different panel physician/different country, also people who have got furtherance test email, it says in there “go back to the same panel physician or a different one with e-medical services”, so i believe it should not be an issue to do it at a different PP.

If you submitted all additional documents like PCC etc, then may be it will change to "DM" today
NDVO is not that efficient, I am failed to understand on what basis they pick LVO. some applicants are not even present in Canada and their file is being processed at Mississauga and in my case, my mom is here in Canada Mississauga and IRCC sent her file to INDIA.
i have obtained PCC from BLS should I submit without IRCC's request?
@robertp , @YULIA-2016 ; @bdidol please share your expert opinion.

NDVO looks like most slow in case processing

selection of LVO is random . your file transfer to NDVO , your Ecas for PR file will revert back to Appl received from In process. ones NDVA start working on your file your PR Ecas status will change back to In Process. Generally same day NDVO asking for PCC and Travel History, (might other document like Photo, Passport copy etc...)

You will get email from NDVO to submit PCC, and you have to reply same email with requested documents.

if you want you can submit PCC via webform.
