Nope, the advice to get a lawyer is the best you can get. Also reach out to @legalfalcon and see if him and/or his firm can help you. Sorry about this, you must have been under a lot of pressure to get your life moving and getting married and everything. As someone else mentioned, at least you did your best to inform them and do not look like you were hiding anything - so at least someone generous can hopefully decide that this is not misrepresentation. You'll need goodwill and some good fortune - and some legal advice to let you know your best play.

Good luck and hang in there.

I have got into a big trouble. Any information would be helpful and appreciated. I am in toronto as of now with all my documents seized at immigrations. It's because IRCC could update my status from single to married. I got married after I received my COPR and informed CIC through mail and even raised web form but haven't heard anything from them until today. According to my COPR I had to land before 7th Oct 2019. And I landed on 2nd Oct with my same old COPR. And at the Canada immigration office in Toronto airport, I informed the officer about change in my status. Now my passport has been cease and they have given me a date on which I will have to visit them again to check with new decision which they make on my application.
I had no clue that I couldn't travel with my old COPR and moreover my spouse had no plans to accompany me anytime soon. So I have decided to go about with my old COPR and now have no clue what's next.
Do you guys got anything further?

@ruchikathakur16 The law is very clear on this. If you get married before you land in Canada, even if you have received the COPR and visa, you have to inform IRCC. They will then add your spouse (accompanying or not) to the application. They will have to evaluate your spouse in criminality, medical and security. Only after that, you will be issued a new COPR and visa.

If you landed and informed the CBSA officer that your family status has changed, you committed a misrepresentation (innocently or not).

Even your PPR email is very clear, and asks you to inform IRCC if your family composition has changed. The things would be different if you got married after you landed.

You will have to wait for IRCC to make a decision. But, you should immediately contact an immigration lawyer and see if the situation can be salvaged.

Finally.. its the PPR ladies and gentlemen.... I have been regularly reading the posts in the forum (even though I'm not exactly November AOR) and it immensely helped me to go through each of the stages. My case was a complex one since i had 7 years of military experience. My security started on 06 August and I believed I’m in SS since i had lot of pages in my GCMS which were blank with S (15). 1 or something as heading and also considering my history in military. Total pages on my GCMS was 153 . As per my experience i feel that even ones with military exposure does not go to SS by default. (as per people’s experiences here i never believed I would receive PPR this soon)

Anyway... all the very best to everyone in the forum and I wish you all speedy PPRs. If you need any help don't bother to tag and contact me.

How can we make our whi is the officer working on our file
Usually the agent code is mentioned in the GCMS notes. But it is not necessary that your file will remain with that agent. It may get transferred again after receiving the notes. Please note that we are just assuming that our files are with the same officer because we got the remedical request on the same day and we have the same AOR. We don't know for sure and it really doesn't matter.

I hope things are working out, keep us posted.

I've just read the COPR. There is absolutely no doubt at all in bold in the middle of the first page of the COPR that what you were doing is misrepresentation under IRCC regulations. Maybe you did not read it? If you read it did you just ignore it? What happened?
