Do I need to submit diplomas for all degrees or only the highest?

I've been invited to apply under FSW and am working on submitting the required documents. I have several degrees of which the highest is a Ph.D. Do I need to upload the diplomas for all my degrees, or only the Ph.D.?

I'm hoping it's only the Ph.D. because I'm not even sure I can find the older diplomas. This would seem to make sense since you only get points for your highest degree anyway. Also, in my supporting documents checklist screen it only shows one required document for "education", even though I listed all my degrees in my initial application, which seems to imply they only want one. (For comparison, there are multiple "employment records" documents required, corresponding to the number of employers I listed.) Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Ideally you need to upload the highest degree. What all degrees did you get evaluated for your ECA?

I got an evaluation for the Ph.D. and for two M.A.s that I did en route to the Ph.D. at the same school. I'm not sure I ever even got diplomas for both the M.A.s since one of them was just a required part of the Ph.D. program.

Just the PhD. You will have to submit the ECA and all the other documents (the degree, transcripts etc.) that the checklist asks for.

For your other degrees, simply put them in Personal History and you won't need to submit anything.

I'm not seeing transcripts on the checklist... It just says "Education (diplomas/degrees)" and clicking on the question mark I see "Examples of proof of education include a diploma and/or degree", but nothing about transcripts.

Are transcripts needed? If so, same question -- just for the Ph.D. or also for previous degrees?

No, just follow the checklist. They are different for different people.

And no, even if you decide to submit the transcripts for your PhD, you don't have to submit all the prior ones.

In general most people submit Degree/Diploma + Transcript + ECA in one PDF under the Education History section because they often ask for transcripts later anyway.

That's only for the degrees you're claiming points for (in your case, the PhD), not for degrees that are in Personal History.

My checklist didn’t say I should submit my ECA report,so I only submitted my masters degree certificate without the ECA report.Hope no issues would arise!

Not really. You've given them the ECA number, and if they want the copy they'll ask you for it. They won't reject your application or anything like that.

So is it fine if i just submit the Ph.D degree and conferral letter? Don't need to evaluate any Bachelor or Masters Degree?

You only need to validate your highest degree. You'll need an ECA for any degree that you submit for points, unless it's a Canadian degree, in which case you don't need an ECA.

So i think i can validate only my spouse's Ph.D degree which was obtained from India as it gives the maximum points and don't submit any other ECA for bachelor or masters. Am i right?

Yes. However, when you try and get an ECA for the PhD, WES may ask for the transcripts from the undergrad and grad degrees. You'll still get only one ECA (and only pay for one), but they are more careful with Indian degrees cause there's so much fraud.

So the problem is we don't have the original MA and MPhil degree certificate readily now. Will this be an issue and what are the alternatives?

You will have to get a fresh set of documents issued by your university, and the university will need to mail the documents to WES directly. In any case, all transcripts etc. need to be mailed by the University to WES (this rule is specific to India), so even if you had the docs, it wouldn't really matter.

only highest is usually enuff.

go ahead and submit, in-case WES asks for more degrees then you can start your search.
