Hello everyone,

i received a letter yesterday saying: "The processing of your application for PR in Canada is almost complete. You must now complete the following steps for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa."
I have to submit my passport (if i need visa for Canada) or just two passport photographs and copy of passport (if no visa required).
+ ECAS saying: Decision is made !
Does this mean i got approved???

As i do not need a visa to enter Canada (just eTA) anybody knows how long it will take to get my Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa, after providing these documents???

Does it take more then 7 weeks?

Thank you all

I received an explicit letter from CIC saying that the file was transferred there.

Yes
But so many in spreadsheet doesnt get any aor2 letter..
i am confused how they got to know where their file transfered and when?
Did they directly got dm on ecas?
CIC isn't consistent in sending these updates. Some people won't know where their file got transferred to. There is no point speculating and trying to figure it out - just wait until CIC contacts you and proceed from there.

Also - not everyone follows the same logical procedure on ecas. My wife's went from having only biometrics and medical complete to everything being completed from one day to the next.
