What happens after we submit application?

Hey everyone,

I submitted the application for my husbands spouse visa few weeks ago. I haven’t heard from CIC yet, even that they acknowledge the receipt of my application. How long before they respond? Do they evaluate our application before they send acknowledgment?

Within 50 - 60 days ....

It takes 4-12 weeks to receive the acknowledgement. You will not get regular updates and will get lost of silence. Best thing is to expect 12 months or more of processing and if you get ppr before hand, great
