Applying for eTA after Departure Order

Hi guys. I am in urgent need of your help.
I am trying to visit Canada for business trip. But I am worried as I have been removed by Departure Order from Canada in 2009.
Our family applied for Refugee Claimant but was turned down and we were given order to leave the country within 30 days which we did.
We had CIC to pay for our flight back to Korea.
Anyways, after 10 years of leaving Canada, I need to go back there for business meetings. I applied for eTA but it is still in prcoess after 1 full week. As far as I know, I am eligible to return without ARC, but am getting worried that my eTA may be rejected. My meetings need to be held in 2 weeks from now.
Is there anything I can do other than wait?

No. You may well be rejected and told to apply for a visa instead.

If IRCC paid for the flight back to Korea, they will want you to repay those costs prior to issuing a visa.

Hello, how did your case turn out? were you granted an ETA in the end?
