Hello canvan14 - Thank you for the replies.

For
#1 we did not include him in an "interest to sponsor form" do you know what number IMM form that is?

#2 We will check over the form and resubmit so my wife can check on her mother's file.

#3 We thought that each had to have their own form. We will put her entire family on one form but it states "Each individual must sign their own
copy of this form by hand."
That would make me think they each need a separate IMM5406 as we had submitted one with all them on one sheet already?
1) Its ok if you did not include him on interest to sponsor form, as a lot of people didn’t do that and its not a problem. The interest to sponsor form asked only about principal applicant and not the dependents. But it was confusing so some people did add both parents some just PA. And its not an issue.

But now you have to send another copy of IMM008, where you need to add him as “non-accomoanying” dependent.
I am not sure about your wife, if you will have to add her and her sister, someone senior would be able to help you on that.
But as per my understanding, her sister is >22 years old, and your wife is a sponsor, so they won’t be included. But confirm this scenario with someone else too.

2) Yes, you should send the use of rep form, as it will allow your wife to get information on behalf of your mom. And she will be the one who will get all the correspondence on behalf of her mother. May be the initial one you sent, had something missing or an old version, probably that is why they asked for it again.

3). You are right, each have to have their own copy.
Your mother in law will fill in her copy with her being in the applicant column, then spouse (your FIL), her parents info, her children, and her siblings.
Then your father in law (even though non-accompanying) will fill in his copy with his details in applicant (the very top one) then spouse (your MIL) then his parents, then his children, then his siblings.

And for your wife and sister in law, again when you get a clarification on the first question, then you will get to know if you add then on IMM008, then they will have to fill this form too, but if they are not supposed to be on IMM008 in dependents (which i believe they are not supposed to), then no need to fill this form either.

And even though, your father in law will be non-accompanying, he will be counted in the family size to meet the income requirement.
So in this case your wife + you + your MIL + your FIL = 4 (assuming no kids)

Do you mean sponsorship approval or AOR?
If you have not got the AOR (Acknowledgement of receipt), it should come soon.
If you are asking about Sponsorship approval, then you will have to wait for a few weeks, currently application from May 08-May 17 are in process and getting approvals.
Thanks alot

Hi there
Can someone please provide me with the what the “intent to sponsor” form consists of? What type of info should I gather so that I have it ready for when the 2020 window opens.
How long does the window open for? I read somewhere it was 8 minutes in 2019?

Thanks so much
Zara
Wait until after the elections for any announcements. Any announcements during an election period are campaigning and may not come true. You should hear in December.

quick question about notarized translation. In Canada, if the signature of the translator is attested by a designated person. and it is a commissioner for the oath with the affidavit. Does it consider as a notarized translation?

I received a notification that I need to submit IMM5409 form. I stated in my application that I am married and attached my marriage certificate as my wife is the co-sponsor. Why would they ask to send a IMM5409 when I do not have a common law partner.

I created my own CIC account. I’m trying to link out application but was not able to. Who’s passport details should I input? Should it be my Dad’s( as a PA) or my passport details? If it’s my Dad’s passport, then is that gonna be ok even though it is not his own cic account but was an account under my name? Sorry just a bit frustrated linking accounts Thanks in advance for whoever will answer

You are linking PR application to myCIC.

You can use your CIC account to link your parents PR application.

You have to enter Principal Applicant information. Like UCI, passport details etc.

Last question for # of family member = [sponsor + if co-signer] no kids + [PA+ If Dep ]

Follow link in tracker cell # S3. (How to link in mycic)

Guys Quick Q re medical results.

Did anyone get the actual completed form IMM 007 back from the medical exam? My parents got the Lab results, but not the actual completed MEDICAL REPORT CLIENT BIODATA & SUMMARY form. Is this normal?

Parents did it from Max Hospital in Delhi if anyone is curious.
