Hi all! I am planning to apply for my Mom’s visitor visa. I am her only child. Me and my husband is the one who’s supporting her in the Philippines. She doesn’t have any properties no job no pensions. I am the one providing her monthly allowance thru remittances. She has savings in her bank account but not too much. She’s only renting a place near my aunts and uncle. My question is how can I prove her strong ties in the Philippines? Me and my husband are PR here in Canada for a year already. Anyone here has similar experience to mine? Advice on necessary step to take? Thanks

Hi,

That seems to be a bit difficult situation as how to prove strong ties to home country for return.
Strong ties can be property, car, job or pension after retirement or children/spouse in the home country.

Good Luck

No she doesn’t have any. Right now she’s still contributing to Social Security Services back home so she can get pension. Is savings in her back account will do?
If she will have an invitation letter from you along with Proof of Financial support to her (like your bank statement, NOA, pay stub, job letter etc), it would not be an issue.
However the concerned area is returning back to home country.

Good Luck

Are there any investment options available like certificates or other investments?

She can do some kind of investment and that can prove some ties to home country.

Along with that does she have any up coming commitments for which she has to be present? Like wedding in which her presence is mandatory? That can also be a tie to return back.

Yes my proof of financial support to her will not be an issue. I am just concern as how to prove that she will return back home.

Actually your financial support will be an issue. Your mother needs to show she can pay for her own visit and you are supporting her financially.

Hi,

I guess both finance and returning back are grey areas.
Projecting all documents correctly & assuring that she will return back is must for getting the visa.

Good Luck
