I just got my pgwp approved today, applied May 24th, got review on Sep 6th. I've been looking at this thread to keep my sanity because I was so worried that my application would be refused. I had 1 part-time semester (withdrawal from 1 course when half of the sem had passed) in the middle of the program and without noticing my status had changed, I continued to work until the sem end. I just want to say if you got a part-time sem, don't lose your hope and just apply anyway, at least there is a chance. Thank you, everybody. Anyway, I need to apply for the TRV but do I need to wait for the paper permit? or is there anyway else?

I called yesterday (I applied May 31st) and the agent told me they are going through applications of May 16 now. I would say wait for this week, and try to call them Friday morning if nothing happens.

I need help.

I have been offered my dream job and am all signed up and contracted with them. However, I applied for my PGWP on June 28th - so obviously, i have a little time to wait still (ugh). I know I am technically on implied status, but I am not sure how my new employer is going to react to that as I have to fill out my tax forms for them by the 23rd and my SIN expired in July when my student visa expired.

1. Would it be worth it to flagpole in Vancouver? I am petrified to cancel my current application to do this, what if something goes wrong? anyone have a RECENT flagpoling experience in Vancouver?

2. How do you think my employer will react? I am scared they'll rescind my offer if they consider my hiring a risk.

I applied on June 1st week. Forgot to upload the transcript, so raised web form request a week after. I got a mail from them that they have received it and will attach it to my account. In my account , I couldn't able to see the document in the uploaded document. Will I be able to see the document ? Or it will be visible for them? Anyone sent document via web form?

And did anyone try changing the address after applying ?

If they really want you, they would understand your situation.

I was fortunate to receive a few offers while waiting for my PGWP.

One of them is a small privately owned company and they were not familiar with the implied status (eventhough I have sent them links and an IRCC agent has already confirmed my implied status). After they heard about my status, they quickly interview some other candidates and left me hanging for a couple of weeks. They were willing to accept me after a few other candidates turn down the company’s offer (I guess they were desperate).

Another company was a global company. I told them about how I’ve applied to the permit but still waiting for it to be approved. And they quickly told me that they understood the implied status and I have nothing to worry about.

Even if I don’t get the second offer, I wouldn’t even accept company A just because how they handle the situation.

So in my opinion you should tell your employer about it
