So today I called CIC and the agent told me my application is approved and has been approved since the end of July. She was very nice and congratulated me and told me to wait for an email with further instructions. My AOR is March 4th. My case is processed in Edmonton CEC- Inland. How long on average does it take to get your PPR/landing interview letter after approval?
Congratulations first!! I think your golden email should be in landing interview way instead of PPR-sending-passport way, as if it was PPR, you should receive it by now. For landing interview, it must take some time for them to arrange one for you cuz it is popular for inland applicants and it has limited slots.

I’m CEC-inland with AOR on 1.21. My last GU was on 8.17, and I called them to know it’s approved on 8.19. On 8.20 morning, I received the PPR email.

I have not even gotten an email saying I was approved or asking me to make an appointment. All I know is that the CIC agent said I was approved and my email to Ralph said I was approved. Do they pick the appointment date for you and place? or do you have to schedule the appointment?

You won’t have a choice if they give you a landing interview directly, which means they pick the date and time for you.

For making an appointment, it could happen when you can’t make it for the time slot they picked; or in PPR email scenario, it could happen when you received back your passport with one-time landing visa but don’t want to cross the broader.

Did you call CIC recently? any update on the status? i wonder how long we have to wait until they start working on our files :(
Nope. There's no point calling just for a status update. They'll make a decision whenever they get around to it. 9 months into a second application - I don't stress much anymore.

My CEC application was processed in Edmonton. I also had a RR on my Eligibility and got it cleared. Thought to post here as it might help someone facing a similar issue.

CEC-Inland; Edmonton VO
April 10: AOR
May 23: MEP
May 28: Criminality Pass
May 30: Review Required on Employment (knew from phone call). Hence, ordered GCMS.

Jul 10: Received GCMS
NOTE: UNABLE TO VERIFY <Some other organization> WEBSITE DUE TO IRCC BLOCKED WEBPAGE
Former employer was acquired by my current employer and former employer's website was shut down. The reason for webpage being blocked could be due to SSL expiry of the domain. IRCC probably googled my past employer and found a different organization in Canada and marked RR as stated above. Case notes did mention the analyst verified former employer’s employments letter, paystubs, T4, CRA NOA and a letter from the acquiring organization stating the acquisition. I wasn’t sure why they would rely on Google after these assessments.

Jul 17: Submitted a letter via webform giving the above explanation that they were looking up a different company’s website. Included my former employer’s lease agreement of it’s Toronto office; an old Canadian lawyer’s attestation that my former employer was engaged in business and this letter was used for my Canadian work permit; Links from U.S. SEC showing former employer’s incorporation, Bloomberg, Glassdoor, Zoominfoo, Pitchbook; Re-submitted letter from the acquiring organization (current employer).

No ghost updates till Sep 5.

Sep 6: PPR

After I received PPR email at 9:30am ET, I logged into CIC account and there was a ghost update on the account.

Does the GCMS show "Edmonton IRCC" or "Edmonton CPC" ?
