Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie on this forum, and I've been reading through many posts without any reference to this matter. Would love to see responses from knowledgeable and experienced people in both MPNP and EE.

So, here my question goes ...

Can somebody with ongoing employment in Manitoba for more than 6 months and the potential of receiving a permanent job offer from his/her employer apply for the MPNP stream mentioned above, provided he/she declares an EE profile number and Job seeker validation code on the EOI?

If yes, are proof of funds mandatory for this MPNP substream regardless of either having ongoing employment in Manitoba or the EE stream in which he/she was admitted into the EE pool?

Thanks!

If you are currently employed in Manitoba and is interested to apply for MPNP-EE stream, you still have to meet certain income/funds requirement:

Quote

Skilled workers applying on the basis of ongoing employment in Manitoba must still provide documented proof of settlement funds in their name. However, the MPNP will consider your current income, so you may not necessarily require the generally recommended C$10,000 in settlement funds.

In continuation of my previous response, EE candidates (Whether SWO or SW in Manitoba) are not required to show proof of funds as must have applied under canadian experience class.

Following this post.

I am kind of in the same situation. I am expecting to be nominated through MPNP-sub stream (international education pathway) that will allow me to apply via EE. However, I'd like to know if I will need to send POF again after nominated. I am planning to spend part of the money and not sure if I can use pay stubs from my job, and my wife's job, as POF.

Any help and thoughts are more than welcome.

Hello guys, thanks for your response. However, I'm afraid that I have a slightly different interpretation for this situation.

For this case, this person would be eligible for two or more MPNP streams, he/she will have to make a decision on which stream he/she wants to apply once a LAA is granted to him/her.

If that person applies as SWM, then the procedure for PoF that you posted above will be enforced by the MPNP. If that person gets nominated under this stream (SWM), then he/she will not get any points towards his/her EE profile. He/she will have to submit a paper-based PR application.

On the other hand, if that person decides to file an application as SWO EE, then PoF based in 6-month LICO will be required according to their current criteria. The good thing here is that, if that person gets nominated under this stream (SWO EE), he/she will get points towards his/her EE profile, with a huge likelihood of getting an ITA pretty soon.

Once at the PR application stage, PoF would not be required provided the applicant was issued an ITA under CEC or he/she meets the exemption criteria as stated in your latter post.

In conclusion, choosing a path is a matter of weighing your chances so you make the best decision according to your situation. However, if you decide to go through the MPNP SWO EE way, It's always best to secure the required funds.

It would be nice if somebody can confirm my interpretation of this.

Thanks,

I totally agree with your interpretation.

The only problem is I am under a new stream in Manitoba (International education pathway) and I sent to them all documents required, especially the PoF (https://www.immigratemanitoba.com/immigrate-to-manitoba/international-education/). I strongly believe I will be nominated allowing me to apply to EE.

However, my initial profile on EE is under FSW, not CEC (especially because I don't have one year of experience full-time). What makes me think I need to follow all the requirements under the FSW.

To conclude, doesn't make sense to proof you have enough funds since you are already established in Canada.

Hello Flavio,

Thanks for your contributions to this post!

Regarding your situation, it’s basically the same. You will have to make a decision on what stream you want to file your application to the MPNP. If you want to leverage your chances in EE with points from the MPNP, you will have to go through their SWO EE stream. Otherwise, if you go by the International Education Stream way, then the outcome will be a nomination for a paper-based PR application. I couldn’t find anything on the MPNP website regarding the IES leading in points towards an EE profile.

Forgive me if I’m wrong. I’m just trying to figure this out as there are not many online sources available for this scenario.

Cheers!

I am having a hard time trying to find information as well.

Well, my application was already sent as IES, they have everything on file, and are processing my application since June 1.

I strongly believe I will be nominated through EE based on the response MPNP sent to me before I start my application, see below:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi Flavio,
You can enter your EE information on the EOI at the question: *

Do you have an active Express Entry profile which was submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada in the past 12 months?

Once you submit your EOI you will be eligible to be selected in an EE sub-stream draw. If you are selected in such a draw, you are then eligible to receive an EE nomination, otherwise, you will need to apply for your PR by paper.

Sincerely,

MPNP

That's being said, my main concern now is the proof of funds, the exchange rate in Brazil is going crazy and I working as hell in order to increase my funds.

Another update:

Today I've received an email from MPNP regarding my question about the POF further after my nomination, see below the answer:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thank you for your e-mail. For the purposes of MPNP, we will waive the requirements for settlement funds if you are a skilled worker in Manitoba however, Immigration Canada may have different policies for their Express Entry. You will need to follow the federal requirements to keep your EE profile active and get your PR.

Sincerely,

MPNP

Hi Flavio,

Thanks for your update.

May I know how did you ask this question to them?

I'm still hesitant here. They might be meaning that they would waive POF only if an application is filed under Skilled Workers in Manitoba. If they just could be more specific with a statement that they would waive PoF to applicants in other streams as long as they also meet Skilled Workers in Manitoba eligibility criteria, that would be so much relief!

Hello, I am in a similar situation. I wanted to link my MPNP application with EE. However, I do not have sufficient funds. Do we need to show funds under FSW class if I am working full time in Manitoba? Please help!
