How long can one be covered by OHIP if out of the country(Canada) more than 6 mos. This is a Canadian citizen receiving disability pension already since 2017, but ODSP was cut off upon leaving the country.

How long can one be covered by OHIP if out of the country(Canada) more than 6 mos. This is a Canadian citizen receiving disability pension already since 2017, but ODSP was cut off upon leaving the country.

You have to physically live in Canada for 153 days in any 12-month period to keep OHIP coverage. Once you are outside of Canada longer, OHIP coverage is lost and you must live in Canada for three months to regain coverage.
