I applied last month no AOR yet
I might get a job within the same company I will be stationed in Prince George
I’m still keeping my house/acreage in the Edmonton area
The question is do I have to change the address with CIC knowing I’m still keeping my house in Edmonton area and I will keep going back and forth
Thanks

If you have a close friend/family member who can check your mail regularly then I don't see why you need to notify IRCC. However, sometimes moving to a remote area and notifying IRCC can affect your timeline, whether it be good or bad I don't really know, anyone in similar circumstance can probably throw more light on that.

Personally, I would wait for AOR and then notify them about the address change. Currently they haven't opened your application, so it may cause more trouble than anything to notify them now. When they will open it, it's not sure whether they would use the old address (written in the application) or the new one.

Once you have AOR, it means that they have created a file to track your application so they can just update it here.

But still I would suggest to do the address change. During the test you will be asked where you live.

I disagree on the last part, I have a Canadian address for IRCC correspondence but I haven’t been living in Canada since before i got AOR. At the interview the officer asked what I was doing for work ( which I think was small talk for checking my English proficiency), I instead told him I wasn’t living in Canada for the time being, he wasn’t bothered by it or didn’t ask any followup questions; told me my test score and that the oath would be in 2-3 months.

I think the key issue is your test and oath and all is going to be around Edmonton. Which is an 8h drive from Prince George.

And not a good one in the middle of winter. I’d change your address online once you get AoR or be prepared to travel. You do get 2-4 weeks notice (or sometimes 2-3 months for oath) for test normally.

Having just applied you could get test in next 3 or 12 months lol.

What would be the total cost of living per month in Prince George for a budget single student?

Google / Numbeo.com is your friend:

A single person monthly costs: 809.72$ (1,133.99C$) without rent.

But they usually post higher amounts. I compared with my current location. It's pretty much cheaper than what they publish online..

I think the room rent with all utilities is 300 CAD to 500 CAD as I confirmed with service providers. So other expenses should be lower than that.

Such meals, travelling and clothing
