Hi @stellahello !

We're also in the same boat as you (and a couple of others here) in that we missed out the OWP checklist. I created a thread
here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/missing-form-inland-pr-help.651900/ regarding it.

From the discussions in that thread as well as in this thread, it seems to be that the worst case scenario is that they send your OWP back for you to resubmit with the correct documents but continue processing your PR (so you wouldn't have to go to the back of the queue and wait for AOR all over again)

It was also discussed that, due to the OWP being a pilot program, there would possibly be more leeway with missing documents as its not yet a set in stone process. There may be a chance that, because you included the overall checklist mentioned in the PR package, they go ahead and continue to process the OWP with no issues. (this was discussed earlier in this thread if you want to go back and check it out)

I took a look at the OWP checklist and it mentions basically the same stuff the PR checklist does (eg using a representative or not) as well as copies of documents you already needed to submit for your PR anyway (passport, marriage certificate).

So, yeah, it's my understanding that the OWP may be returned but it may also not really matter and both OWP and PR will be processed normally. I know this isn't a definitive answer for you but I hope it helps!

Is there anyone else on here who has looked at earlier months on the spreadsheet worried about how long OWP's seem to be taking? Jan - March the average seemed to be 40-60 days, April was 80-90 but no one from June has gotten theirs yet and they are approaching 100 days since submitting. If things keep going this way we may not be working till next year!

I guess they must just be really backlogged or have been understaffed over the summer possibly. Any other theories?

I think they are still working on the May applicants. We'll probably have ours by November/December

If you use the spreadsheet as an indicator of how busy they are you can see there are significantly more apps in April/May compared to August. We are the lightest month so far. They may be able to get through June/July quite quickly if the spreadsheet is a good indicator of the total monthly volume.

We dont know of many have not included themselves in the spreadsheet, I am sure we only 25% if not less that have listed ourselves on the spreadsheet.

Seems like the Aug 1st applicants received their AOR's this week. Hopefully next week we see more AOR's come in for Aug..

Has anyone applied for extension of their visitor visa? We have applied for it, just waiting to hear back from cic about it, processing time is 2 months.

Hey guys,
Hopefully posted this in the right thread this time.
I'm a bit late to the party but I did apply in August. This thread is super helpful and reassuring.
Did the spreadsheet thing too

My partner is sponsoring me under common law

Application Sent: August 08, 2019
Application Received: August 13, 2019

I am applying from Kelowna, BC.

I'm currently on an open work permit already, I submitted another application for OWP as this one will likely run out before my PR is processed. Not sure how that will work out but fingers crossed D:

If anyone has any experiences with extending an open work permit without a "valid job offer" (I'm employed in government but they can't write me anything for immigration), I would love to hear your stories

Thanks

I did not include the checklist for OWP and wonder if IRCC will process it without any issues. Have you seen any cases?
I know of a few people who did not include the checklist but no one has said anything about it so I guess its a waiting game for us! I'm really hoping there won't be any issues with it but if there is, I hope they just send the OWP application back and not the PR!

I am planning to apply for one. Could you please guide me on how to do that online or offline? What reason you have provided, documents required etc.

Hi

I applied for an extension on the July 29th as my status was due to expire on September 2nd. When I applied for the extension the processing time was at around 46 days but I’ve been checking on the website regularly and the processing time keeps going up every week (I believe it’s currently at 100 days or so). When did you apply?
