Thanks PMM for the reply but I want to make sure if the listening and speaking is only needed and what’s the score for both?

Hi

1. I have to assume you didn't bother reading the instructions
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/eligibility.html#language

To become a citizen, you need to meet the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 4 or higher. This means you can:

  • take part in short, everyday conversations about common topics
  • understand simple instructions, questions and directions
  • use basic grammar, including simple structures and tenses
  • show you know enough common words and phrases to answer questions and express yourself
2. Which is 4.5 and 4.0 in IELTS.

The OP said Seniors to apply. The supplied linked page says "If you’re 18 to 54 years of age on the day you sign your application, you must show that you can speak and listen at a specific level in one of these languages."

It would appear if the OP is over 54 years of age the language requirement does not apply.

I always wonder that the definition of a senior is. Someone with 1346 likes and over 20k posts would possibly qualify.

Especially given their answer is correct ... assuming OP is 18-54 (that would be the first part of the link they provided) I don’t know how we can determine that from information available?
