Hi guys,
Principal applicant (DarVO)
April 23rd applicant here. I was asked for extra documents n 22nd July which I provided the next day 23rd of July both by EMAIL as instructed and also by webform. My status on gckey still shows We need Additional documents from you up to now.

However on 20th of august I called the ircc office to ask why the status is in that state, and the officer told me they could not find evidence that I sent in the documents. And so for the second time on Aug 20 i submitted the extra documents again.

Please some one tell me do I need to be worried? How long does it take to update this section.
Did you get an email notification after you submitted the webform? If yes try and write an explanation letter and attach the email notification as a proof that you did actually send in the requested documents. And also, try and call them again to confirm that they received the documents this time
My wife just received a pre-arrival service email
Wow congrats to both of you

Hey guys! Yesterday i received an email saying this:
The VO: I have concerns that you omitted a disclosure of or deliberately did not disclose a material fact that could have induced an error in the administration of the Act. Specifically, I have access to information that indicates that you were denied United States of America visas and thus entry into the said country in January 2016. However, on Schedule A (IMM 5669), which you signed and dated on April 30, 2019, you answered “No” to a question asking whether you have ever been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or temporary resident visa to Canada or any other country. The wording of this question is clear and unambiguous.

Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application for permanent resident visa, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):

I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. You have 30 days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard.

Anyways in short i was denied a student visa in 2016 but while i when responding to that question i misunderstood it, i thought student visa F1 as it's called was not mentioned and i answered NO. and now its a big problem. Anyone has an advice. I'm worried

Hello
I am so sorry to hear that. This is a delicate situation for your application. I would suggest you seek a legal advice on how to respond to this concern. Did you get help filling up these forms? Language barrier would be a reasonable explanation. However it does not mean they will accept it. That’s why I think you should seek a legal advice.

Yes i have a representative, i have composed an explanation letter and i sent it to him to review and send it to them. I just feel bad for this. I just misunderstood the question because i already knew that they do background check so i couldn't hold back such an important information intentionally

Hey @kalegale did you get a confirmation from DVO after you re-sent your documents?
I paid the RPRF fee yesterday and sent the confirmation receipt via the email. I also had the cic online payment portal send the same receipt to them by adding their email as additional recipients. Now waiting to see what happens next week.
