Hello everyone,
I had a query. I would be glad if anyone can provide me a solution. Actually, i wanted to ask if family recently moves to quebec canada as a permanent resident, except for their daughter (age 23) unmarried financially dependent, how she can move along? Is it possible to move on temporary resident visa and then apply for study permit in canada? or any soultion to move on temporary resident visa then apply for permanent residency?
TIA

She can apply for a TRV to visit, she cannot live in Canada on a TRV.

She can search for economic programs like express entry to become PR, she cannot just go to Canada on a TRV and apply for PR.

She can apply for a study permit inside Canada as long as she has valid status.

At 23 and with the whole family in Canada, she has extremely low chances of being approved for any temporary visas.

How can she apply for study permit while having a temporary visa in quebec canada? What will be the requirements?
And at age 23, family recently travelled to quebec canada at permanent residency why she have low chance to be approved?

It will be obvious to the VO that she is attempting to move permanently . With her whole family in Quebec, her ties to her home country are significantly less then if they they were there . They aren’t anymore , she no longer has ties
When the whole family elected to move you’d become aware that she wasn’t included in the move . She has to apply to immigrate on her own merits
She’s a adult

What if family on permanent resident and daughter on temporary visa move along?
The daughter can apply for a TRV, but as mentioned her chances are low since the VO will know about her family ties in Canada . Same with a study permit
She can’t move to Canada, she’s not allowed
She’s needs to convince the VO she’s not just using a TRV to get into the country and stay

She should apply for the study permit from outside of Canada. Lower chances of approval if she applies from within Canada. She needs to make sure the program she chooses to take in Canada makes sense in light of her previou education. Note that it's too late to enrol in the September term so she will need to aim for January.

Hello, please kindly anyone clarify this.attaching the link below.
I am not getting the point
What does this mean?

Only some people can apply for a study permit from inside Canada. Do any of the situations below describe you or the person you’re applying for? (required)

You’re currently in Canada and one of these applies:

  • you have a valid study or work permit

Havving valid study permit to apply for study permit???

Yes - it's pretty straight forward.

It means someone is already in Canada on a work permit and they want to apply for a study permit. Or they are in Canada on a study permit and they want to apply for a new study permit (e.g. since their old one is expiring).

Your daughter will not qualify for apply for a study permit using the within Canada process. Her study permit will need to be sent to the visa office responsible for her home country.
