I'm applying for Alberta PNP and one of the required documents states:
Labour
market impact
assessment(s)
OR Evidence of
Exemption
Candidate only:
Submit all of your Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) from
Service Canada/ Employment and Social Development Canada
(ESDC). Include a copy of both the Confirmation Letter and the Annex
for all LMIAs submitted.
If an LMIA does not exist, provide the documents to show the
exemption used for the work permit (e.g. North American Free Trade
Agreement, etc.). The best types of documents to provide are:
• copy of letter to visa office requesting the exemption, or
• approval from visa office stating the exemption
• If you do not have one of these two documents, you can provide
another document from IRCC demonstrating the exemption. Print
outs of exemption information from the IRCC website do not meet
this requirement.
• If you are a Post-Graduation Work Permit holder, the work permit is
proof of your exemption
My question is, if I'm here on IEC and have a 1 year open work permit (this program is LMIA exempt) Do I just submit the work permit again for this section?

Yes, and in section “work permit(s)” . I’m also on IEC, get my file number for PNP on Jan 08 2019, and still waiting for nomination, and my work permit expires in the end of June 2019, so I’m tight with time, hope so that nomination will come soon

Hi Sylas,
Could you please share the "Alberta Express Entry Stream document checklist" that you received from AINP? My lawyer said that I have a good chance to be selected by AINP and I want to start preparing the documents for the AINP application beforehand.
Thanks a lot!

@sylas
Can you please tell me if it's important and mandatory to have a valid Work Permit to submit along with AINP documents checklist?? What if I receive AINP and I'm resident in overseas not living in Canada? Thank you!

I have the same question! I'm on a study permit and husband is on an OWP because of this.

Did you find the correct way to show your evidence of exemption? and was it accepted ?

Thank you!
