@JssAmA @Immigration_guru

I have a doubt on two things now:
  1. My reference letter does not mention all the duties according to my NOC. And although I had more duties that match the NOC, they were not all mentioned in the letter.

  2. In my last month at work, I worked for only 10 days as stated in my reference letter. However, I was paid a full salary by my company as shown in the submitted pay slip. I was paid a full salary because after finishing my last day at work (August 10), I continued the hand over process remotely - but this was not stated in the letter.
  • Should I ask my employer to write me a follow up reference letter stating that not all duties were mentioned earlier and now list all my duties (which does match the NOC)?
  • Should I also ask my employer to explain why I was paid a full months salary when I worked for only 10 days in the last month?
Or no need of another reference letter and instead just submit LOE explaining all the roles and salary discrepancy?

I would really appreciate your advice on this.

Thanks.
If the job description in your reference letter includes at least 70% of the roles mentioned for your NOC, then you needn't have to worry. As for the time period discrepancy, I'm not sure about it but I believe it should be okay if you submitted the same dates in your application as in your reference letter..

1. In my opinion, for your job duty issue, get a well-demonstrated Letter of Employment and upload it ASAP.
Using company head letter, with date and your manager’s name, tel, email and signature. Make sure it include Job Duty (most important one, 70~75% similar to NOC website), full-/part-time, title or position and how long you worked at it (from...to...), annual salary.

2. It is fine as long as you a clear self-explanation letter. Get one from your company if possible. In my case, I am lucky that I have a good relationship with one of my manager, so I could edit and give to her to use the company’s head letter.

If you company could state your end date until the actual one, then no need another LOE from them and it’s up to you whether you like to write a self-LOE.

If they could only state your end date to that 10th date, then it would be better to get a LOE from someone in your company.

GL.

I missed including Roles & Responsibilities in my experience letter. Realized the mistake after reading in this forum and submitted the revised experience letter using CSE.
No ADR from IRCC on this. Recently I got notes, there also I saw that agent had marked it missing in April.
Now as you have done your part its time to relax and wait for the case officer to review your additional documents and clear your eligibility..all the best..i am also in same situation as yours.

This is what I had originally submitted. I think I should send follow up reference letter from employer with all the duties that I did matching the NOC.

This is what my reference letter stated:

As an assistant manager, he was entrusted with the task of procurement and distribution of medicines and consumables to the various departments of the hospital; liaising with pharmaceutical distributors and importers; improving profitability by pricing products properly and reporting to the various department heads on issues that concerned quality control. He was also responsible for developing hospital policies, creating a marketing strategy and training the pharmacy staff.

This is what the NOC says under lead statement and duties:

This unit group includes managers who plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the delivery of health care services, such as diagnosis and treatment, nursing and therapy, within institutions, and in other settings, that provide health care services. They are employed in hospitals, medical clinics, nursing homes and other health care organizations.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the delivery of health care services within a department of a health care institution, or in other settings where health care services are provided
  • Consult with boards of directors and senior managers to maintain and establish standards for the provision of health care services
  • Develop evaluation systems to monitor the quality of health care given to patients
  • Monitor the use of diagnostic services, in-patient beds and facilities to ensure effective use of resources
  • Develop and implement plans for new programs, special projects, new material and equipment acquisitions and future staffing levels in their department or establishment
  • Plan and control departmental or establishment budget
  • Represent the department or establishment at meetings with government officials, the public, the media and other organizations
  • Supervise health care supervisors and professionals
  • Recruit health care staff of the department or establishment.
Do you think I should submit a LOE? or both an LOE and follow up letter from employer?
Sorry, for comparing your letter of employment to NOC website, I’m not a expert. I personally think this paragraph “as an assistant manager, he was...training the pharmacy staff.” can be extended more (bullet points them in a list like NOC website but paraphrasing a little bit would be great if your company could edit in that way).

If they just mentioned it’s job duty issue then, I think one new well-demonstrated Letter of Employment would be good enough. You probably would like to write a self-explanation letter to express you are not trying to hide anything but just want to clarify and make it easier for them (sth like that).

If they mentioned confused about your end date, then I personally feel it would be better to have another letter from other than Letter of Employment to state your actual timeline and pay, etc.

Just put yourself in their shoes. Imagine that if you were them, how would you verify before calling or emailing your company but just based on what you submitted. You need to help them picture the whole background of you (don’t assume they should have 100% knowledge of some terminology or job titles looks simple and everyone should know). They would just simply follow the guideline; for example, job duty on your letter close to NOC website. Boom! You are good at this part. Next, ...

GL!

Thanks a lot. I just applied for GCMS notes and it will take time. But I was planning to send an updated letter of employment proactively. And I see your point, they're comparing NOC and verifying my job - so I have to make it detailed.

However, do you advise I send the updated letter of employment now or should I wait for GCMS notes to know exactly what eligibility in work experience was not met, which may take up to 60 days?

If this is the only thing you found fishy, then proactively submit it. In my case, I didn’t wait for NOTES coming, cuz I didn’t know it would arrive. I just submitted after 5 days knowing my eligibility not met. And I was very confident no other part could trigger any issue in my case, but just my employment timeline and my Canadian Work Permit expired date. I did help them to understand me more by separating periods in Personal History of my application, but I guessed they were just too busy and stupid (like you taught them 1+1=2 and they couldn’t figure 2+2...).

For a well-demonstrated letter, you could take a look mine to as example:
https://ibb.co/0s76mcS
To compare with NOC web:
http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=6&val1=6235&ver=16

You should get what I meant in the last post.

OMG!!! This is so unfair, like they don’t even give any explanation. I wish the issue can be fixed by what you handed in later!!!

After digging so hard to figure out any cases similar to mine, I found that there were 9 cases which applicants’ eligibility not met, proactively submitted additional docs and then got ppr in the end. This kept me alive, otherwise I don’t know what should I do and can’t eat or sleep at all...

7 of their timeframes from submitting docs to their PPR: 4 days, 20 days, 1 month, 2 months (2 ppl), 3 months, 5 months...
Hey bro! I have a follow up question.. do you know if these cases were mostly due to insufficient reference letters? That seems to be very common! My problem as you know is incorrectly picked NOC code.. was there anyone else in that situation if you remember?

Yes, one for sure (NOC wrong). But if I remember correctly, there should be at least two of them whose NOC was wrongly picked. I hope this would help.

1. The duties mentioned should match 70% that is what makes the NOC code fit for you and it should be in accordance with the lead statement mentioned on the website.

2. It should not affect. What matters is your total number of work exp years should match to the number of years you claimed points for and that should be paid and not contract job.

I got another set of notes on weekend. Only difference is it shows that I have sent revised experienced letter in July. No one touched those documents or reviewed eligibility again :(
It's gonna be a long wait it seems.
