Hi Everyone,

Quick question, my mother in law is living in Canada under super visa, and she just received a letter from CIC for sending her biometric for her PR application.
In the letter says she has to leave the country in order to give her biometrics (I assume Turkey would be the best since she is Iranian). But I was wondering if she can do that here while she is staying with us in Canada.

There is a little challenge here that her passport is expired, therefore she can not come back to Canada if she leaves! so she must apply for supervisa again!

I appreciate to hear your experience if you have been in similar situation.

Thanks
There is no option to do it here. If she has US visa, you can try US. Or you can visit Mexico (no visa required). What is the validity of the super visa? If it is expiring with the passport, then you don't have any option, if not you can use the same visa with the new passport (by carrying the old passport with you).

@Happy Canuck I have similar situation. I have called them 3 times. All 3 times I received different ans. Today morning rep told me that there was some social services forms being requested. And those are sponsor specific. So there was no any form number like IMM forms. I do not trust these guys because all 3 times I got different answer. So I guess we just wait and watch.

Does anyone had any social service form request? If so please share.
Hi @csdarji,

Yesterday I received a message (e-mail) requesting biometrics. Today my status changed to DM in ECAS.
What I wanted to share with you is that ECAS also says in the principal applicant side "we sent you a letter, please wait for mail delays"
So I am thinking that the message we saw (in the sponsor side) was just for the AOR. Maybe they just updated ECAS a few weeks after they actually sent the AOR e-mail.

I hope things are going well for you.

Didn't receive any response on this so posting again. Hoping to get some answers this time around.

Hi Guys..

Received an email from CIC that IMM 5669 was not hand signed and therefore they are requesting us to send updated forms for my father and mother to them within 30 calendar days.

Now, my mother recently developed a medical condition and we are sure that she will fail the medical test when asked to undergo. The question is, if we withdraw the application now, will we get any refund? If yes, we will withdraw the application. If no, we will just let it be and not proceed further/think about it at all.

Kindly let me know.

Thanks,
Rohan.

My Ottawa docs receiving date is 10 May. E-cas changed to IN PROCESS on 8 Aug and is still the same. No DM, no biometrics, no IME. I see many applicants after above mentioned dates have progressed further. Anyone else with similar timelines and status?

Don’t worry! I am May 10th too.
I think it depends on the case officer, some people from May 06-09 still waiting, whereas some from May 13th have got DM.
We will get it soon :)

you can apply by mail for passport renewal @ "EMBASSY OF PAKISTAN INTERESTS SECTION OF IRAN" in Washington. Once you have the new passport, you can go to Mexico City (no visa required for Candian visa holders) for biometrics.

The whole process might take longer than one month and will cost a couple grand. You can ask CIC for an extension. (usually an extra month)

If not, go back to Iran, renew passport and complete biometrics in Istanbul.

Are you in the tracker?
