Guys,
Just got an email from BC that my test scores has changed form 6.5 to 7.

I would say go with your gut feeling. I had been reading posts from a long time and I have seen people who were confident not getting results and those who were not confident getting positive outcomes.

although being confident is a good sign but it really matters about the day and the person.

In my case, I was just 50-50 sure about my writing and it was a person dependent as so whosoever is checking your exam and so did happen.

Once again guys you never know when will you see the magic time.

Thanks lot to the all the members for this page and their posts.

That's great news. Congratulations. All the best for your future endeavours. I have applied for EOR on 18th August. I hope my score will change as well. Btw how many days did your EOR take?

Thanks for the information. Did you contact BC after submitting the application? How do you know when they sent the package to BC? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Yes I did contacted BC after 20 days as I was under the impression that my application would have been submitted on the next day after I had paid my EOR fee.

Hello. I just got my IELTS results today and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with my written exam mark.

Here are my results: L 8.5 R 9 W 6 S 8.5 (O 8).

I honestly feel like my writing is way better than that but have no idea if I just completely missed what examiners are looking for when grading your paper since it's my first time taking IELTS (tbh I didn't prepare for it too much and just recently read you should answer in a certain way if you're hoping to get a high mark).
I also read that usually when marks are over two bands lower than the average, they get flagged and sent for re examination by someone else (even though I would find this unusual as I received my results only 5 days after sitting the test) making EOR virtually pointless.

I don't know if I should apply for EOR and potentially waste my money (which would be even more frustrating...) or risk it hoping to get a better score. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Congratulations on your great scores.

You may decide on EOR by reading some band 8/9 writing examples online and also by going through IELTS marks descriptor. After your research if you feel that you deserve more, then go for EOR. If you are not confident then it probably is not worth it. I have seen people with 2 bands difference succeeding in EOR.

Contact your test center immediately. It should not take that long. I was told by BC official that my EOR may take 4 weeks max. As far as I know IDP is faster than BC in case of EOR. Good luck

I have applied for EOR on 25th July 2019 and received acknowledgement on 27th July . After waiting for 21 days, I finally got text from BC that my reevaluation is completed and my scores have been changed. They asked me to submit my old TRF so that they can dispatch new TRF . Does this mean my scores have been increased ? Is there any chance that they will decrease the score ?

Also after sending my old TRF , I received acknowledgement of receipt on 17th August . But when i called today they told they have received documents on 20th August only .

Old score -L/R/W/S-9/9/6.5/7.5

Need 7 in writing
