Hello,

I’ve submitted my application on June 2019 and it’s been 55 days since then. On the IRCC website, it’s noted that Visa office in London takes about 53 days to proceed a Visitor Visa application. I tried to contact them multiple times via their office email: LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca as well as send out a case specific enquiry form through IRCC web form and never ever get a responses. Felt very hopeless!

My flight is in 4 days but I haven’t received any information on my application status yet. Could someone help me please?

I applied in July, gna travel soon too, emailed them but no replies at all
My flight is on Monday and I only apply for a short visit, from 19-27 August. However, no decision or any updates have been made so far. I contacted them so many times but never get a single response even and phone line is just there without anyone really picks up the phone. Kinda fed up with the system already!!

I’m sorry about that. Did you try to contact Canadian high commission, instead of just their visa office? Or try VFS, I had a problem with biometric information, I sent out web form and emails, no replies. Then I went to VFS again, they contact high commission, problem was solved in one day.

I don't think they check/care. I submitted my biometrics on 15th July. To be fair, I applied late and I stupidly booked un-refundable ticket. The thing is, I've been to MANY countries and been through various visa applications, none of them took more than three weeks! This is Canada, I wouldn't expect it will take 58 days as it claims.

I'm the same booked flights for 11 Sept and submitted the application and biometrics on 29th and 30th July. The time to complete then jumped from 37 days to 57 days. I've been emailing constantly for the last week and calling to no avail.

I went through a work visa application for Australia a few years ago and I had it within 4 hours. This application just makes no sense to me that it would take so damn long.

Is it worth contacting VFS and can they do anything?

You can try, but don't have too much hope. I talked to a staff in VFS when submitting my bio-metrics, she told me writing an email is the only way to reach them. Apparently it didn't work on my case. Now that my return ticket is 1st Sept, I am sure they will reject my application because I no longer have a prove that I would leave Canada by the end of my stay... Oh well, I need to find something to cheer myself up...

Do let us know if you successfully speed up the process.

Also, does anyone have advice on the quickest way to get the passport to the high commission in London? The passport is coming from Ireland. I want to have this ready to go at a moments notice.

I would be willing to fly over and turn up at the embassy if they can turn it around on the same day. Or is a courier with a return envelope best?

I've just sent the same email! Fingers crossed.

I'm also seeing if a Canadian national, who can enter the embassy in Dublin, can get any information.

I sent an email to them this morning, but I didn't receive auto reply this time, which is quite weird.
