Hello Everyone,

I am so glad to see one applicant received the passport request and requesting members who received the passport request to update the sheet.

So that we know the average time of receiving the passport request, as of now it is 74 days.

Thanks,
Suneel
Congratulations to the PPR clincher

Hi guys! my file was just transferred this morning to pretoria, south africa. PA is from south africa, my question is, is it normal for the file to be transferred first without medical request? because from the tracker, everybody got medical request first before being transferred.
How did you know that your file was transferred? Did you receive an email or you checked your eCAS account?

Hello friends,

Application received June 18, 2019
AOR Aug 3
Sponsor approval Aug 13
Biometrics requested Aug 12
Medical requested Aug 13

In my passport and in the application form my name is given in following format.
Give name : AAA
Surname ( family name) : BBB CCC DDD

In the letter requesting me to submit biometrics I noticed that they have broken down my surname. In the letter it is in the following format
Given name : CCC DDD AAA
Family name : BBB

I am not sure why they recorded it like this. I called the call center and they asked me to submit a request via webform. They also said it shouldn't be a concern while submitting biomterics and medical exam. I have submitted a request via webform (Aug 13)

Update :
I submitted the biometrics today. At the VAC , they entered my name as per the passport . I just checked the application status online and biometrics has been updated.I haven't received any response for the request I submitted via webform.
Thanks for the update.
As per response to your raised CSE, I think you might get it on the 10th day of raising the enquiry. That's how long it them to reply to me

Guys I need guidance! We submitted our application on May 24th and was received June 3rd. I just realized after reading other people's applications that we checked no for both questions below, completely forgetting that my husband was denied a US tourist visa.

IMM 5669
6.
d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country or territory?
e) been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country or territory?

What's the best way we could go about this? Can we send them an email regarding the correction and attach an explanation as soon as we receive our AOR? Hope to hear from you all soon. TIA.
hello! not sure if somebody answered you, but im new to this site. did u get your aor? thats the only way to update them. is to have an APP. NO.

Yes we did. And we sent a webform RE: the update as soon as we received the AOR and the update has been acknowledged as well :). Thanks!

How do you guys deal with the stress of this application's process? I spend way too much time every day looking at the progress of my application, comparing it with others which I know to be unwise, wondering if every hiccup is because something went wrong.

Looking at the tracker, I expected the medical request to come in today-ish and it hasn't. It could easily be tomorrow, or the day after I guess. or even later. But if it doesn't happen in the next few days I'll start to worry and there's nothing I can do because it's most likely "normal". Drives me absolutely nuts.

Hi everyone,

My application was received on 27 June.
I haven't got any email for my application number yet. Does anyone know how much more time it can take to get AOR.

Regards,
Rouble

I'll be the first one to acknowledge that I'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to this process. I'll tell people not to worry, it's a long process, updates will come when they come, don't compare your app to others all day long, but I also happen to obsess over the tracker and I check ECAS/GCKey/my email 10 times a day. I just keep reminding myself that it's in CIC's hands now, stressing about it won't make any difference in how it gets done.

It's easy to get wrapped up in the anxiety of waiting, I guess the best we can do is try not to let it consume you to the point where thinking/worrying about it effects your day-to-day life. Especially since it seems like maybe things have slowed down and they're not sending out updates as quickly as they were for other months.

Do you mean SA? have you tried to use UCI Number check status Ecas? You'll see if they made Decision or send you correspondence in there...I'm also waiting SA it's been a week since I received AOR.
still no decision made! or bio/medical request.. going on 4 weeks..

Let’s stay strong people. I hope IRCC understand how important family reunification is. All major immigrant friendly countries have in waiting visas while application gets processed whereas we’r a different country where we reject visitor visa for applicants who’s files are in process (99% cases) but process spousal sponsorship for people who’re in canada on visitor visa!
