I got my offer letter from University of Victoria on 1st August. Applied for GIC on 2nd August with Scotia Bank. My application not accepted by Scotia due to wrong info sent by my bank w.r.t. passport number (Last digit missed). Till date my problem not resolved with scotia bank and don't know where money is lying presently. I again applied for GIC with CIBC bank and may get my GIC on 16th August. If I apply for VISA on 16th August, when can I expect my VISA approval. My classes are starting from 4th September and late entry is allowed up to 12th September. Kindly advise....

With less than 4 weeks, you likely have no chance. Where are you from?

I am from Punjab India, I have IELTS score 8.0 overall and unconditional offer letter, applying under SDS program. I am giving it a try, keeping in view that queue for VISA may get lean at the end of August and I may get VISA in three weeks...

Given that the current processing time is 4 weeks plus mailing time and any additional time to get biometrics done, your chances are very low. You should speak to the university about deferring your enrolment.
