2013 hong Kong rejected
2013 immigration Court appeal dismissed no lawyer
2014 federal court appeal dismissed with a lawyer
2015 mom got cancer
2016 mom passed
2016 moved to China, no reason to stay in Canada
2017 daughter borned in China,

2018 moved back to Canada hired lawyer reapply,
Offered 8k bonus if successful hoping for a thorough
100% effort Service. (Huge mistake smh)

2018 December applied
2019 March start proceessing in hongkong
2019 June medical received ( no date shown)


lawyer don't follow up, late notices, missed documents, wasted 3 months time because application sent back, sent me his other client's application by mistake telling me application approved , late medical notice.

Contemplating career change to be a immigration consultant considering how much work I've done myself for this lawyer.

Called one day to check status, agent tells me anotherI Immigration agent put one of the emails wrong because there was typo, Gmail.com into "gamail.com", fml right?

Scared to death if we missed any documents, i called every department available to confirm, Canadian side doesn't have any info because application in hongkong.

Submitted online form directly for hongkong consulate, received back saying only my lawyer has access if i can want anything it has to go through my lawyer.

Called lawyer, clueless as usual.
Won't even attempt to help.
Hongkong wont answer calls.
It's been 2 months since medical received
What are my options ?

I don't understand why people hire representatives/lawyers for this.

The application was designed so that anyone can do it. There are guides and tons of resources do to it yourself and do it right.

Agreed with the above. Also order GCMS notes to see where your application stands and make sure you know about all document requests.

It's normal not to hear anything for several months after the medical. So from that perspective, things look fine.

No - it won't make things more complicated at all. No - it won't interfere with the process. It will vastly simplify things and ensure you receive all notifications and are in full control.

Will hong kong received the updated email? Because it seems their systems are not linked
