I think I should be more clearer,
my previous work permit expired like May 2019 and before that I applied for BOWP
which was refused.
Now the way I understand it and from that letter that after treating my application since my previous work permit is expired and they have finished treating my application so I have no status here in Canada.
Is this right?
May or August , which one is the actual date ?

Okay cool.
One thing, the refusal Is somehow confusing because as first the officer said:

We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expired on August 01, 2019.

Afterwards he/she said:
You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status, you submit:
 a completed application form;
 applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should be made online at www.cic.gc.ca. When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your application.
 all required documents in support of your application.
Please consult the section “Restoration of status” in the application guide: “Applying to change conditions or extend your stay in Canada”. Please note that there is no guarantee your application will be accepted.
Should you choose not to apply for restoration of your status, you will remain a person without legal Temporary Resident Status and as such will be required to leave Canada immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action may be taken against you.
according to this letter , you can still apply for restoration . so don't waste your time , get to it right away . make sure you include this letter in your LOE though .

I am afraid to say that you have to stop working now , restoration doesn't qualify for implied status man .
Thank you. I thought so as much.
I have also heard that restoration takes ages.

I also hope my medical results comes out in time. Maybe I may get PPR not even
needing WP anymore

Hmm that’s true though.
But just looking at the way they treat cases this days, MR so close PPR so was just having that believe.

Aside I saw some threads here, their AR July 2018 and they already got PPR.

You should not rely on this. There are also Dec 2017 AR that are yet to recieve Medical or PPR
OMG...
I wonder what these people would be thinking everyday.

Just one question: I will be applying to restore my status today.
I was wondering if it should be a closed or open work permit I should be applying for?

Though I was actually on PGWP which is an open

open of course . for closed WP you need to find an employer with LMIA .
