I have not received an email or letter since the application was received.

did you receive your AOR by email though? If yes, then I believe it is normal. you will only get an email or letter for test invite or fingerprints from what I have seen on the forum.
Maybe others can confirm?

Hi all.. so I can access my ECAS today and it says we received your application on April 29.. but as per my tracking slip it was delivered (with signature) on April 26 .... I guess it was stamped by CIC as received only on the 29th .. so can the admins pls change my received date to April 29th on the tracker?

Do they actually send out a hard copy of the book? It's been 15 days since I received the email but haven't received anything in mail.

No they don't - they send you the link with the AOR where you can download it. If you want the hard copy, you have to order it (it is free) on CIC's website.

I think you should call them to verify what email address they have for you on file. you don't want to run the risk of not receiving your test invite.
