Hi

I got my letter of admission very late from the university and I applied for a student permit only on 7 July. Even though while it feels like there is time for me to start university in Sep, and I may get my VISA on time, I'm still very nervous as I have no news from CIC since my biometrics were completed on 9 July. Also applied for Spouse open permit and child’s visitor visa at the same time and no news on their applications too.

Where did you apply from? All you can do is go by the guide timeline for your country. It may be more, it may be less.

Hi same here! I’m so worried about I cannot get the study permit on time ..
Applied inside Canada: 7/18

No update till now!

Are you guys apply online, they didn’t tell me to pay biometric fee when I submitted. So how can I get my biometric letter? Does that mean I don’t need to give it ?

Applying for your spouse and child to accompany you usually slows down the process significantly. It would have been best for you to apply alone but too late now. In addition families of international students are not guaranteed permits/visas. If it gets too late you can always contact your school to see if deferring to the next semester is possible.
