Hi everyone,

I have called cic and asked them for an update. The agent said everything is passed on my application and it's a matter of when they will contact you. Now my medicals is expiring and medicals status changed from Passed to "You do not need a medical exam ...."
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any idea of how long it takes them to contact me?

Thanks

Have you tried ordering your Global Case Management System (GCMS) notes yet? They'll give you a more in-depth look at your status.

The expiry date of your medical test only matters before you submit your application. It doesn't matter that they've expired now.

I would order GCMS notes, and just be patient (I know it's hard when you're this close to the finish line). Good luck!

It does matter even after submitting .. i submitted my application on 2nd april and my medical was expiring on july 8... my medical was passed on may 14 . On july 6, I called cic and dey said everything is passed... but on 10th july i got a message from cic tht we need ur medical .. so i went for medical and submitted the new one and it was passed within 10 days ... and on 23 july we got PPR mail ...

The GCMS I got were from 4 months ago, it was in progress then. I trust what the guy said on the phone.
Thanks for your input Noman02

Hello,
I am in the same situation as you. Everything passed, originally found out from contacting Ralph's office on July 15th and called IRCC to confirm on the 17th of July, but no news since then, or any communication since medicals passed. My medical status also changed to "You do not need a medical exam". My medicals will expire on the 30th of August and my AOR is 5th of December, so it has been almost 8 months.
What is your AOR? And since when do you know that everything is passed?
@zabrodov seems to be in the same situation, as I just read here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/everything-passed-waiting-for-approval.644735/

Any news on your cases?

Also why is your medical expiring in August 2018? Medicals are valid for 1 year. Shouldn't your medicals expire in JAN 2020?

I had my medicals done upfront. Now I see it might have been a mistake but at the time I thought it would help move things faster (little did I know).
You have had a long journey, but I think everything passed is good news, it just sucks that we still don't know anything

I have become a little worried after I read similar stories on canadavisa. For example, @UKDreamer was in the same situation and it took him 7 months to get PPR after everything passed.
