Some of you might know that we have planned a trip to go to Turkey to meet my family there. They are coming from a neighbour country. Our flight is in two days.

Now things have changed because my sister’s husband was killed/committed suicide today (we don’t know the story yet, but he’s dead)

My sister and her children are in the worst situation you can ever imagine and we can’t do anything to help her from here.

So in this situation is there any possible way that my mom can go to that home country just to be with my sister these days? She has a Turkey visit visa until Aug 28, 2019. She also has her expired home country’s passport.

Any way to bring my sister to Canada with her children? I’m writing this with my heart bleeding and burning because of the situation my sister is in. Please respond.

I’m sorry about your loss. Unfortunately not. She would be risking her asylum status. Assume she is trying to enter Syria. Many refugees have have lost a loved one so no this will not give her and her children some form or priority. The normal routes to getting asylum in Canada are her options. Private sponsorship would be her option if she is registered with the UNHCR.

So there’s no humanitarian situation option or something like that. Just for a week at least. It’s not Syria.

Contact your lawyer Sir, He / she will tell you what to do, i know a couple of cases that did so, but you have to know that in all means there will be a risk, so at the end the decision will be yours
