Travel after passport application Calgary

Hi,
wondering if anyone on here has applied for passport in Calgary.
I have my ceromony on August 23rd, from reading treads here, I will not be able to apply for passport until Monday 26th.
I am travelling out of the country on September 6th. Will I have my passport back in time? Also Monday 2nd is a holiday here.
I am applying in person and asking for the express.

Yeah, ask for express. You might get it in time with normal, but I'd just pay the extra amount and get it in a day or two and not have to worry.
