OINP Foreign Worker Stream Question

Hi,

For the OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker/International Student Stream, it says your job offer must be permanent in order to apply.

But say I'm on a post grad work permit that expires September 2021 and I receive a job offer in September 2020 -- would the employer make my job offer permanent with no end date even if my PGWP is valid for 1 year?

If not, can I request them to or is there something in particular I must do?

Also, if it takes 18 months after receiving nomination to get your PR, how does one remain in Canada after the PGWP expires?

Thanks,

hi, yes, you can receive a permanent job offer even thought you have a limited work permit. Once you get your permanent and full time paid job offer and if your wage is at least equal the Ontario's average rate, you can apply to PNP if it is accepting new application. as soon you receive your NOI, you will receive a document to support you request the closed work permit with 2 years length .

good luck!

Hi,
I have two job offers in Technical Support. It is full time but no were mentioned its is permanent and also it does not have end date.

How can I check if my employer is eligible employer? I have job offer from Concentrix and Kelly connect.

Please suggest how to check is the offer letter and employer qualify or not?

Hi,

Coming back to this -- I've read elsewhere that it's only a valid job offer during PGWP that counts for the stream if the employer is willing to apply for an LMIA. Now I'm seeing more and more saying you don't need an LMIA. Can anyone confirm?
