Hello everyone, just thought I should share this info, we got passport request two days ago, the local visa office is Mexico City and God willing, my wife will be sending her passport today, here's our up to date timeline:
Application received: July 26th, 2018
AOR1: November 21st, 2018
Decision Made on Sponsor: February 19th, 2019
Medical Request: February 25th, 2019
I don't remember the medical passed date and GCKey indicates November 18th, 2018 which is not true, it was close to early March as my wife had to go through some bureaucratic hurdles in our home town
Sponsor Approval: February 26th, 2019
CSQ Request (Sponsor approval 2): March 13th, 2019
CSQ Application received in Montreal: March 14th, 2019
CSQ AOR March 22nd, 2019
AOR2 (from Mexico) and request of CSQ: April 10th, 2019
CSQ Received: April 8th, 2019; this is the date on the CSQ, but it was actually received on April 11th, 2019 and my wife sent it immediately to Mexico through a web form and their email, she never got a reply from the web form, but she got a reply from the Mexico email dated April 24th, 2019. You don't need to do this because MIDI must transfer the CSQ to your local visa office, but we did it just to be sure.
Pre-arrival services: June 4th, 2019
Decision Made on principal applicant: June 5th, 2019
PPR: June 10th, 2019

Side note: we never got an email indicating that the background check had started, we just saw it on GCKey and the following day the decision made appeared on the PA, hope this helps anyone going through Mexico, best of luck to everyone !
My wife is from Venezuela, Sydney receieved our application September 6, 2018. Based on your timeline, I take it took less than 12 months? Our application been in Mexico since March 1, 2019. On July 6, 2019 was the 10 month mark. August coming soons and still nothing from Mexico. My wife passport expires in mid April 2020 and she needs to leave Venezuela by October 2019. Otherwise Venezuela won't let her leave the country.

I have been very concern with the passport thing. Any experience with this with your family?

when I submitted my application I also sent the docs for my child, today I received a letter saying that I have to apply for my child’s citizenship. This letter was dated october 2018 and I just received it. I already crossed the 12 month mark and In two weeks I have my interview. Should I apply now for my child citizenship or wait until the interview and ask to the officer if I have to wait until my other child gets born (first week of september) and send both applications?

I really do not know what to do

Is your child a Canadian citizen and they are asking for proof of Canadian citizen? It took me 5 months to get our first child's, born abroad, proof of Canadian citizenship. We then included it in the application. Try get it as soon as you can because its long wait. If you have a change in family structure with a newborn, then you would need to inform them after birth

Don't take this as the Lord's word but from my experience, and from that of others , you can expect the PPR at about the elevem and a half month mark. For you that would be mid August. That is assuming that yours is a straight forward application with good documentation and with no complications.

yeah I have no idea if mine is good documentation lol I got married in 2016 of September and didn't submit the application until September 2018. Civil Wedding in Argentina with no family members there. We had two witnesses that we met through airbnb and translator for me. Letter of Support from my parents acknowledging our marriage. Everything else I submitted was pretty straight forward and standard, pictures, communication, receipts and all that according to the lawyer. I also went to see her in Peru 2 times before submitting the application.

i think a lot of you didn't need interview either.
