Please refer my timeline in the signature below. We landed on 25-March-2019. My Wife and I received our cards on 16-April-2019 but our daughter's card was misplaced due to our attorney's address change. We received her PR card on 9-May-2019 at our home address.
Hi guys, Have a bit of a situation here. We got my sons COPR on 15th May 2019. And had requested for a landing appointment right away. However only got the landing appointment confirmation on 15th July for 25th July at Etobicoke. Now we are travelling back to India on September 5th and coming back on the 27th. Here are my concerns:
1. If we go for the interview on the 25th, there is no guarantee that the PR card will come before we leave
2.I can apply for PRTD from India but given that we are only there for 2.5 weeks his passport may not come back in time.
3. I have written to Etobicoke to ask them if we can the appointment moved since we can land directly at Pearson itself.
4. How many times can i reschedule the appointment since the email says that a reschedule request will move the interview by 6 weeks which again does not work for us.
Has anyone been in this situation or has some advice on how we should proceed? Thanks to @Tommy2581 who has already provided some guidance.

I called an CIC agent for booking an appointment. He got my details and said that wait for the email containing appointment details. It's been one week now and there is no such confirmation recieved yet. How long it takes to recieve an appointment email from Etobicoke centre?
Is there any other way to contact them such as web form?
Please advise.

You can also send an email for the landing appointment to ircc.pra-rvpr.ircc@cic.gc.ca with the following details. you will get an automated reply first and then the inland landing details within 30 calendar days.

It seems pretty extreme to have to wait 30 days then however long after that until the actual appointment. What would be the downside of going to a border whenever you want, and getting it done right away? Am I missing something? I am in a similar situation.

i called the agent and gave the details to book an appointment. now it's been a week and no response from there side. I am wondering how should i contact back? or should i use webform. The trouble with web form is there is no such category for these kind of requests.

Of course, going to the border will be quick but downsides are:
- If you live near border then no problem, otherwise it could be a long drive or commute through public transportation.
- Few borders have specific days and time for processing PR landing (e.g., Niagara bridges)
- Also, they may process few landings for that day and ask you to come at a later time/day. Rainbow bridge does 10-20 per day and refuse to do more on a specific day.
- Many inland people may not be comfortable doing flagpoling (though it is straight forward). Either they don't have their own vehicle or they don't want to cross the border fully (no US visa situation).
If your COPR is not expiring soon and you are not in hurry, then Inland landing in IRCC office is a good option. Also, they say 30 days but normally your get a response and a landing interview before that. In my case, I sent them an email on 1-March-2019, received a response by mid March for a landing date of 25-March.
Did you mention all those details when you sent the email for requesting an inland landing appointment? Did you get an automated response after sending that email which reads like:
We want to thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and confirm the reception of your email via this automated response.
We have received your request for an appointment to confirm your permanent residence status. You should receive an email confirming the details of your appointment within 30 calendar days.
They may have changed the process, but till earlier this year they asked to send the details to that email address for landing interview requests. You can wait for few days or ask through webform about the status of your landing request.
Thanks for the response. My temporary status expires in 10 days and I just got CoPR yesterday. Appointment is not an option unfortunately, I called and the soonest they can do is three weeks away.

I have a similar situation and interview on the 25th. Did you need any other documents that were asked for other than the ones mentioned in the letter? How long did it take and how much earlier than the scheduled Time were you present at the centre?

I am in same situation, in CoPR Orig entry date and last entry date in same.But, I didn't call CIC. One of my friend was in same situation where he done his landing with out any issue and later, he didn't request CIC to do any changes. Please share your experience if you done your landing.

i did not recieve any automated response. i am waiting for that. on cic website, they have mentioned that their email response have some trouble so not everytime, people will recieve an automated response. And, yes i mentioned all the details in the webform.
