VISITOR VISA

I applied for canda visitor visa for student exchange program for a month. I applied on 12 june 2019
My program was from 14 july to 8 aug 2019

On 18 july i got this message :-

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. I am therefore refusing your application.


Grounds for refusal:


· I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.




Just one reason for rejection.
The programs host college was ready to postpone the dates as everyones visa process was delayed.
But then i directly got this rejection message.

My agent said if the date has passed then the embassy officer mails you to provide new information.
But i think i was rejected because of the dates
Pls help i just want to know why i was actually rejected.

That's not true, if the date is passed they do not email for the applicant to provide new information.

Did you have an invitation letter from the college? who was paying for the trip? Its possible that since its passed that they refused because then there is no reason for you to go.

Yes i had the invitation letter. My father was paying for the trip.

if you want to know exactly why you were rejected you can apply for GCMS notes but that takes about 30 days. Otherwise no one can say for sure and they would just be guessing. Its possible that they did it because the dates have passed, its also possible they think the conference is not a valid reason to visit but a chance to overstay in Canada.
