My husband (American)and I (Canadian)have been married for 3 years now. The plan was originally for me to move to the US, but it has been determined that my husband doesnt mert the income requirements to sponser me. So, we are looking to bring him here to Canada instead.
This is what we understand the process would be so far:
He can apply for PR from inside Canada. We submit the PR and OWP at the same time. If needed, we can apply for a visitor extension until his OWP is approved. Once he has the OWP, he can work and stay in Canada until he gets his PR.
So, my question is...does he just enter Canada as a visitor and then apply? Do you tell them at the border that that's your plan?? How did everyone else's spouse actually enter Canada before applying?
