///I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Dec 13, 2018. It is at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.


Eligibility is in progress – recommend pass.

Criminality and security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid to Nov 23, 2019. ///

And then I sent a reply asking what he meant by recommend pass and to that he replied the above.

My question is, What is happening with my application? Nothing is clear from these mails.

the mail shows tht they are working on ur file.....which is a gud sign.... Also d other mail was mere elaboration of the first mail.... Nd thts y I asked u abt self written lines bcoz we dn't get such revert from Ralph...

However, now d picture is clear wid ur this reply tht u asked him to explain... So Ralph has explained

.... But i think eligibility is passed nd wen they start security in most cases, it takes few days only .... So get relaxed!!

@ Legal falcon and other gurus in the house, i want to know if this below extract from GCMS note means Eligibility is in Review Required (RR)
I have been hearing of RR and cant figure this out.

Guys I got an update for ip2 saying "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need any further information." Next day I got an RPRF request mail. Today I paid and uploaded it. Now any idea, how long should I expect for the PPR mail?

I didn’t check my account from past 4 days so don’t know when exactly my account was updated... today when I logged in I saw the status was changed from submitted to application updated.

Note: I did drop an email to Ralph’s office on Thursday asking them to help me with any update on my Profile and as per their reply background check hadn’t started then.

Guys I got an update for ip2 saying "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need any further information." Next day I got an RPRF request mail. Today I paid and uploaded it. Now any idea, how long should I expect for the PPR mail?

The thing is, it looks like he doesn't know when the security will start. The initial mail was sent two weeks ago and we haven't heard from CIC since. We are going to be ordering GCMS notes. But so far, none of the channels have given us a realistic picture of what's happening behind the scenes.

None of both wl disclose Wen security is going to start, only GCMS wl indicate wen it actually started...
