@Pura Vida Thank you for your kind words from 3 days before! Hope we hear back from them very soon.

@PRI2019@ My aor is 18 Dec and same situation. My eligibility was just marked recommended pass this week! I'm just thankful they reached our files and I don't have a RR or some ADR, which many people started receiving in their 7th month! The call center did send a reminder when I talked to them when I reached the 6th month but don't think it played any role in them starting to work on my case. It seems more to me that it's only now that they are reaching and seriously assessing the friendzoned backlogged files. The agent told me that security will take time because it depends on external agencies.. My medicals also expire at the beginning of August and don't want to pay for other ones + hassle to take appointment and travel to do it and I just hate doing chest rays... These radioactive things are just nasty stuff that should be avoided as much as possible. But medicals can be extended depends on the officer and certain conditions. My post p.698 had a link about this.

So let's be positive! Hope we get our medics extended! The longest wait is behind, the final answer can be sooner than we think.
I completed 7 months today as on 14th July 2019 and I have given up all hopes on these loosers. I see people around me who applied past Jan 2019 are getting their PR's in less than 3 months and here we are still waiting for updates. Calling their agents is even more depressing since they do not hesitate to mention that you now will have to wait for 11 months for the process to complete. Call them everytime and they increase this time frea. God knows what are they doing with our files. I am thinking to apply for my tourist visa but I am not sure if I would get that in time as well. Their's no certainty and confusion everywhere.

Visited my profile and saw an update.

We are processing your background check. Moved to IP2 I guess?

This is my first update in 5 months since I passed medicals.

Not sure how much longer it will take.

Also there was no email notification, checked my spam too. So guys make sure you log in to your profiles now and then.

Another point I'd like to add, this happened two days after I got reply for my webform stating that nothing has started yet.

The same happened to me.
AOR 24th December
Yesterday got a response from CPC Ottawa stating that my application was in a queue to be reviewed by an officer.
Today I found that the profile was updated and background check is in progress (IP2?). Hope it’s a good sign! Fingers crossed

Yayyyayyaya got ready for visa email today!!!

Timelines are as below:
AOR : 15th December, 2018
Medical Passed : 29th January, 2019
ADR : 10th July, 2019
Documents Submitted: 11th July ,2019
Ghost update : 12th July, 2019 (early morning)
Ready for Visa email : 12th July, 2019( 4:27 PM)

But need your assistance from you guys...

There is a certain change in our situation.

My husband and myself both have relocated from India to USA some time ago (we had used the web-form to update the current residential address for our application) and are presently residing in Chicago, IL, USA.
Does any one know if we can please get our passport stamped by sending them to the High Commission of Canada here itself in USA as it would be complex and time consuming to route this through Delhi,India?

And if yes, please share the procedure with us.

Your reply would be really appreciated!
Hi..Has somebody faced this kind of situation...request your guidance here...reply would be really appreciated.

Hi Guys,

I emailed Ralph and asked about my application status - he replied within 1,5hrs asking for my dob. Is that normal?

I read from other threads before not to give out dob - not sure what’s the reason?

Also, there are 2 versions of his email addresses that are circulated around this forum - goodale@sasktel.net and ralph.goodale@parl.gc.ca. Anyone notices the same? I only got a reply from the first one.

See... We can do nothing except praying n waiting for our turn..... One thing is certain nd we need to understand tht we can't predict our golden mail at any specific time by seeing others getting it at tht tym or in tht month ....

Some folks on this forum have got reply from Ottawa : Your file is under review and needs additional verifications : what does this mean mate?
When they say your file is under review and additional verifications, only things which we need to be worried about is our eligibility because the rest(security and criminality) is never under our control.
Eligibility can be review required for several reasons. Some of the reasons are POF,NOC-mismatch, missing details in experience letter(working hours, roles and responsibilities), unable to verify employer. Sometimes case assistant may not be able to determine certain factor and wants primary officer to review before everything is approved.50% of the time these get cleared as primary officer may deem those review documents as acceptable.

As soon as they say under review and additional verifications, you should be ordering GCMS notes to see what was the issue. If you find something was missing, from GCMS notes, proactively submit those documents or give updated LOE(this document is really powerful, don't underestimate it) with clear explanation.

Yes, if officer in this review determines your security check is completed and everything is already verified and passed.

Thank you for reply, I have received my notes 4 days back and as per it Medicals & Criminality passed Eligibility & Security not yet started, PA has put comment on notes as R10-ok, Recommendation : Pass Criminality, Document set for review-client information, even for incoming documents, status for PCC, qualification, passport is marked as checked, status for employment ref letter and POF is blank, status for client information document is marked as review required. Any idea what can this mean ? Does additional verification mentioned in email has anything to do with SS?
