We are all in this together.
Mine is 21 months going (Oct 23, 2017).
My notes says background check ungoing. I called to confirm if that just security check alone or any other things but no clear response. They only ask me to keep waiting as they will let me know when decision is made.

Same, Security checks never started, and medical over two month. Always, just wait

I don't believe Mr Trudeau cares about us –the proper applicants who came to this country with funds, language and work skills and who can support ourselves as well as our family . he only cares about other types of applicants who can make him looks better in front of other country leaders , which just back fired at this clown for all the idiotic things he does .

I agreed with you buddy, frankly speaking I don't want to send any mail to outside cic, but how could we get exit of this process? most of the applicants from 2017 have crossed 19 months, someone even waiting for 30 months, CIC, local vo; none of them listen to us, when we send email, they don't give us any reply, after sending so many emails to them, they gave a generalized reply & does not mean any. Than how could we speed up file process?

Who will solve this stalemate ? if not HIM, than who? who??
Many of us already tried by MP, Immi minister, etc. but no result. these time are valuable in our live, we cannot get back this in life, other people already in Canada, making money, buying house, cars,child education etc; but we are here just for sitting & absorbing pain from this process? is this a punishment game from them to us ???

This is really heartbreaking for the paper applicants (especially the married ones ). It would have even be fair if we are required to pay extra fees just to make the application go faster like the Express Entry.

I am also almost 19th month with no update and family living apart for almost 4 years now.

it's because we can't make him look good at an international level so they don't really care about the economy immigrants , not like those refugees will anyway , and he decided not to bother with us at the end . and IRCC , which is nothing but a bureaucracy will follow his lead and try to please him subconsciously. I have found a complain board on IRCC website and it's all kinda of people crying for their help or to speed up their applications . sadly, no one seems to care about our plea . I don't know how long it will go on for any of us , this waiting and system if there's any is simply unfair .

So I send a Web form 10 days ago regarding my application, because it’s already more then 19 month since I applied and everything passed and medical extended since may 21. And guess what? Ha.... no reply. I lost my hope already and it’s pissed me off....

I feel you.... but in my case everything is done almost 2 month ago... and still no DM.

AR December 14, re did our medical June 27, the panel physician said she uploaded the results the following Monday , but nothing changed on GCkey or ECAS , still your action is required .

Called CIC today, told me everything passed, but still need to wait. I asked when I can get DM, they said depends officers busy or not........I am Dec 2017
