Change in Manitoba destination though relatives are at Winnipeg

Hi,
I would like to ask if I can change my Manitoba destination outside of Winnipeg even my close relative permanent residence is at Winnipeg. I am doing this to add points for my EOI application.

I read somewhere on this forum someone who settled in different location from his sponsor in Manitoba. He emailed the province to confirm and they said he could.

I dont think you can choose another city other than the city in which you have relatives if you claimed points for having close relatives. Your application

You are currently in the process of your EOI, so if you get to be drawn, you will have to provide proof of residence of your close relative. If you cannot provide proof that your relative is living outside of Winnipeg, then that would be a problem. Thus, it is not advisable to claim points for destination outside of Winnipeg if your supporter lives in Winnipeg.

Your destination should be where your supporter currently lives. Better be always truthful with the information in your application because you don't want it to be a misrepresentation (that's a ban of 5 years from applying again). Hope this helps. Good luck.
