If I have been working in Canada for more than a year on a closed work permit, can I choose 'Yes' for the below question?
8) Do you have a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment?

1. I am working with the same company through which I received LMIA
2. I am on a closed work permit for another 8 months, an year has passed by already
3. My job is a permanent position, 40hrs/week and is not a contract[/FONT]
4. LMIA had just 6 months validity and that has expired already. I believe this validity was only for me to apply for WP

The reason I ask this is because I would get points for my Canadian work experience as well as for the job offer if I can choose Yes for this. But I am a little confused because the LMIA itself has expired...

Found something that may clarify your concerns....

A valid job offer has to be:

• made by one employer
• continuous
• paid
• full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
• for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
  • not seasonal
• in a job that is NOC:
  • Skill Type 0 or
  • Skill Levels A or B

It also must be made :

• by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
• if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
  • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
  • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
  • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident
• 
  
  • Your employer must get a new LMIA only if:
    
    • your work permit has expired

That's correct. In my case I provided only one letter with all required details that was accepted by CIC. Make it simple for immigration officer.

IF my employer is going to give one letter in that case why wouldn't I not submit the required evidence and it's not like I'm holding something and not giving CIC, in that case I went on to submit other relevant documents.

Yes, You should submit. That’s what I mentioned it before.

It should be one PDF covering reference letter along with other supporting documents. Please be wise, it’s your application.

Nitin, another thing people actually don't know the pain and suffering I have gone through to get the reference letter but to no avail and it's not only myself, there are many people who couldn't get the letter. I don't understand why the Canadian government finds its so hard to understand our grievances!

I understand your point but CIC immigration rules are for everyone and they want to be fair with the process. To stop fraudulent cases, it is important for them to review your documents very carefully and they’re just sticking to rules with defined process.

Please guys I need your help with this question.My parents intend on sending funds into my savings account (which doubles as my salary account) to cover my PoF.my dad intends to send “X” amount this week, while my mum would send the balance the upper week or so.So it’s going to be two transfer reflecting in my account.
My question is this,do I need to prepare two separate gift deeds to explain the source of the funds in my account?
What do I need to show to CIC to explain the funds transferred into my account.
I’ll appreciate your comments and advice.Thanks

Why do u let them combine it together and send it together. So u can prepare gift deeds in the name of one of them to avoid complications

I think processing time depends on factor like visa office and other details like work experience and education history. Two of my friends who only had canadian education and experience and didn't need PCC from their home countries got their PR really fast. One in 51 days & other in 68 days.

I got my PPR in 2 weeks from India(Nov 2017 AOR)- seems like they’ve increased the timelines significantly in recent times. Keep the faith guys !

Hi,
2 suggestions:

1. It would be safer to get two separate gift deeds. Gift deed is an affidavit in the name of donor, not donee. You have 2 donors so 2 separate gift deeds

2. It would be safer to show amount in an FD account If funds are not older than 6 months and transferred from others account

Also note cheque no, txn no, exact dates of transfer they are needed in gift deed.
