Hello,

I applied for my wife's immigration and my courier tells me CIC received my application on June 21, 2019. I haven't heard anything from CIC yet. They will send me an application number to me now yeah?

How long do I have to wait till they confirm that they have received my application and send me an application number?

Anywhere from 4-6 weeks, you still have a while to wait for AOR.

I applied early May and I am still waiting for AOR as well.

Apparently the wait was extended. It is now 6-8 weeks

Really? That sucks !! I was really hoping it would be 4 weeks max. My friend had applied in October last year and it took him 2 weeks to receive his AOR.

Ours was unnaturally fast, so far I haven't seen many AORs that were received within 2 weeks. 95% of them still take a couple months. But you never know. To add to this, even though our AOR came within 10 short days, our BGC took longer than most in our timeline. Every application will be different.

Does nationlity matter? My wife has a bangladeshi passport.

These days its taking an average of 50 to 60 days. Do not compare your case with anyone else's as it won't help and add to the stress as each case is different. You can only estimate using the current data.

file number these days is around 6 to 7 weeks for sure..but it can take up to 90 days at times ..it changes basically sometimes it takes longer..
