I'm on same boat too guys. Completing 8 months next week :)

There is nothing really we can do. So I know how it feels. It just sucks to be in this position and honestly it doesn't really get any better and it just gets even worse with each passing day. I have made up my mind that I'm not getting PPR anytime soon and made peace with it :)

It will come when it comes. This journey has been a great learning experience :)
I dont know how to console you and all the fellow members. Hope and pray that you get it soon.

Hi Guys,

Wanted to get your opinions on this:

I am a single applicant, Nov 8th AOR, currently in the US.

Didn't hear anything back from CIC after MEP (Jan 4th). Then last week got a request to submit my fingerprints, nearly 7 months after AOR.

I am going to get that done this week since you need to get an appointment now instead of just walking in.

Anyone else in a similar situation? Does this mean that some progress has been made on my application or is it another delay tactic?

Thank you.

Anyone? Any info would be appreciated.

All I know is that biometrics are now being requested to all new applicants (starting from those who applied on 2019, if I’m not wrong), and some users have reported that this new step has sped up the process. This is the first case I have read about a November applicant being asked to send biometrics though. I guess it’s a good sign, if there was something bad with your case, why would they bother asking you to send them your fingerprints?

Biometrics requirement was rolled out by nationality. Citizens of some nations were brought in biometrics requirements in 2018 itself. Some countries like India were brought in biometrics fold on 1st Dec 2018
If you country of citizenship was part of biometrics program on the day of your AOR, you will be required to complete biometrics

Can anyone help me out with these queries for submitting passports at VFS,
1. Can i submit an 8 month old photo?
2. Or can i tweak the date written behind the photo, so that it seems recent?
3. Can i write the details behind the photo with a pen?
4. Is there any consent form to be downloaded and submitted at VFS?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Photos I submitted were close to 8 months. U can right name and dob with pen, but studio stamp may be required. VFS does HV consent form to be downloaded online, if not they will provide one in the office, no worries. Don't worry about the photos. Show them to the officials working there. If there's a problem they'll let you know and You can avail their studio service.

Ugh, CIC really loves to screw people..

They approved my work permit with one week left for my landing interview despite my request to delay it by a week. By the time it comes in the mail, it's a useless junk of paper, which cost me $275.

Submitted passports a month ago on May 31 after PPR. Return tracker started today, ll get my passports in 2 more days. I am currently in US. Started giving Canadian interviews. I am about to get an offer, if I take it, I may have to move to Mississauga. Just want to know what ll be a good place to start to know more about the Canadian move so that there are no surprises in the end. Thanks.
