Hello,
I am currently in the pool for BC PNP. I have 92 points but the required points are 104 at the moment.
When I took the CELPIP in 2018, I got pretty good scores ( L: 11 R:12 S:9 W:8). However, if I retake the CELPIP and I am able to get a score of 10 in all bands my points would go up to 100. I am aware that it is not enough to meet the 104 points, but I will be so much closer than 92 points.
Last time I took an online course that costed $300 in order to prep me for the CELPIP exam, which I did not find very beneficial as the teacher spent most of her time correcting students, and I learned very little of the structure of the exam.
Can anyone guide me in what materials I should purchase?
I plan to take my exam in 3 weeks.
P.s I grew up in the US and have been speaking English my whole life.

Hey mate,

I'm an English native from the UK and I got all 12's apart from an 8 in Writing, so I have just retaken the CELPIP exam. I found this guy on youtube to be really useful in explaining how to actually answer and structure your responses.

Good luck in your exam.

You just hit the nail on the head, the CELPIP exam isn't aimed at people who speak English as a first language, so you have to train on the training because of the strange and precise style the test takes. Really it doesn't test accurately for people who fall into the English as a first language category at all, in my opinion. I hope you got the results you were seeking in your second test. I'm too loathed to re-take it to improve my 9 in writing (I got 12's in the rest).

I ended up getting 12/12/11/9 - the 9 bumped my score up to 479 from 447. Was worthwhile for me.
