How long will CIC take to return my passport?

Good morning Guys..I am stressed beyond stress right now. My brother was murdered in Jamaica last night and my sister is currently 8mths pregnant. I am the eldest sibling so I have to go home to sort out this situation. I need to leave ASAP but no passports. I sent the web form, it is saying I won't have a response until 5 days time. I email
CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca..no response. I called again this morning they advised me they don't know what is the delay as my passports should have been sent back to me already as there is nothing more to be done to my file...I am so stressed..my mother died in a car accident in 2007..it's 4 sibling of us. I am here, my brother after me is in England and my 2 youngest siblings were back home. They murdered the youngest yesterday..he was just 25.

I am so sorry to hear that. This is so sad. You should call either your local MP and/or the Immigration Minister's office to get immediate action.

At this point I don't know how to feel. They responded to me that I need a death certificate or a doctor note. These ppl approved and closed my application almost a week now...they are the one who went over their time for having my passport and making me feel as if I am interrupting there process time...

That sounds unfair. Can you get a news item or any written document from Jamaica that will help substantiate your argument?

I sent them an article that was the headline in the newspaper paper...so waiting on a response

I highly doubt it..my tracker is not activated still.

My tracker was activated Friday evening after numerous emails. My application was also approved on June 14th.

My tracker has still not been activated, they received my passport on 28th May

No change, still waiting for the tracker to be activated.Did you try calling CIC?
