Hi, tried that no luck. Any body successfully linked their application yet?
Try it exactly like this and see if it works...

(1) Go to this below listed link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp
(2) Click on continue to Gckey
(3) If You've already account created, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions.
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account.
(5) Then select category and subcategory that you applied for.
(6) Then select Application Number and Family name
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or Application form. PUT YOUR FAMILY NAME IS THIS FORMAT - Smith (ensuring the first letter is capitalized) THEN PUSH SPACE BAR ONCE. Then fill in Application number and AGAIN PUSH SPACE BAR ONCE.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH, DO NOT FILL IN ANY PASSPORT INFORMATION. AGAIN WRITE ON THE SAME FORMAT (CAPITALISED FIRST LETTER OF YOUR CITY) AND PUT A SPACE AFTERWARDS
(9) Select Province and town you intend to live in (as on your IMM0008) and select current marital Status.
(10) Finally select 2 as the number of family members AND AGAIN ADD A SPACE AT THE END.
(11) Once you fill all information, Click on Search for my application
(12) Your application will be found and can be linked.
(13) You can get real time updates on your paper application online.

I did step by step instructions on what you said, and still no luck in locating our file. I even send a web form and all they replied with was reasons why it probably isn't working like wrong information. I know all information I entered is correct.

hmm, It had happened to me a few times as well. Try again. Try three of these. But I think there's a limit for the number of tries within 24 hours.

Steps that have successfully worked to link your application to your online account! (myCIC)

1. Log in with GC Key account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/paste application number from email (including the F) and enter PA's last name
3. City of Birth - enter 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Select PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Do not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependents)

OR...

1. Log in with GCKey account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
3. Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) - Insert application number and UCI from email
4. City of Birth - Insert PA's City of Birth
5. Country of Birth - Select PA's Country of birth
6. Passport Info - Insert Passport number, issuance and expiration info
7. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application (Province, City and marital status) and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependent, if any)
8. Click on the 'Search for my application' tab
9. Then on 'Link my application' tab

OR...

1. Log in with GCKey account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
3. Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) - Insert application number and UCI from email
4. City of Birth - Insert PA's City of Birth (LEFT THIS BLANK)
5. Country of Birth - Select PA's Country of birth (LEFT THIS BLANK)
6. Passport Info - Insert Passport number, issuance and expiration info
7. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application (Province, City and marital status) and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependent, if any)

Also, this.... One of these should work!

Adding a space trick didn’t work for me. It’s important that you have a copy of the IMM0008 form for reference. Because I sponsored my spouse, I selected Permanent Residence as the category->then Family Class(Spouse) for the subcategory->then I selected Application number and Family name for the details I will be providing (include the F for the application number and the Family Name should be the Applicant’s Last Name exactly as it is as how you typed it in the form cause it’s case sensitive, in my case it was all caps e.g. SMITH) ->For Applicant’s Personal info, I selected Passport then filled up passport number, date issued and expiry date, again exactly the same as it is on the form or in his passport ->Select the province and city/town the applicant intend to live in from the drop-down menu and it should match the details in the form->current marital status should be Married and lastly, number of family numbers I typed in was 2 (that includes me/the sponsor and my husband/principal applicant) unless you have kids or you have dependents included in the application NOTE: I didn’t add any space at the end of each detail in fields without drop-down menu. Don’t forget to hit the search button once your finished filling up the fields.

AOR received today

May 6 applicant

Also not able to link to gckeys using any of the above methods. I’m going to give it 24 hrs and try again. I’ve heard many times where the app will not link for the first few days so I’m not going to panic yet

Good luck to all those still awaiting AOR! Hopefully they start picking the pace up a little like the last few months!

Hello friends,

Need suggestion as all of you have applied.I am a Canadian citizen willing to sponsor my spouse and a child( 10 years old)living outside of canada. I have couple clarification on forms to be filled.

1) Form IMM1344: Do i have to fill two separate forms for my spouse and child? There is no space to provide two names in a form.

2)IMM 008 dependent : Do we have to fill this to provide information about our child. We only have one child

3) On photographs for application, I am providing four photographs as per specifications. Do we need to mention anything on the back of photographs

Please suggest.

Thanks

Warm Regards,
1 is correct only in-case if just your spouse is applying and has no dependent children. You are not part of this application as you already are PR/Citizen. This information is mentioned in Spouse Visa Application Detailed Guide-line on CIC website
